Game:D&D 5e - CLOSED Group type:Online with Roll20 & Discord (voice only).
Group schedule:Thursdays (starting April 21), 7 – 11 PM, UTC (Europe). We also do 1-1 sessions and play-by-post for more character-specific activity.
Important Gamestyle Info: This will be a long-term campaign with a “Strongholds & Followers” (by Matt Colville) theme where PC's can eventually build a keep/temple, hire henchmen, attract followers and get into some light wargaming. It takes place in the post-war World of Greyhawk. Experience with any of these components is not necessary.
Roles: Need 1 more player – preferably a tank/melee type. Other members of the group include: a LN human wizard, LE tiefling warlock, and a TN half-elven rogue.
Character Generation: Excepting Dragonborn, any race/class in the PHB is welcome. Anything not in the PHB must be approved in advance and will need to be handled manually within Roll20. Your character will start out as 3rd level, use the 27 point buy format for attributes.
Gamestyle: Ample opportunity for roleplaying, exploration and combat, and everything else that makes DnD fun – crafting, subterfuge and intrigue, trade, city-building, hiring henchmen, hirelings, building a stronghold, dungeon-delving, and light wargaming.I will be using Matt Colville's “Strongholds and Followers” - but adjusted for this campaign.
There's as much depth and detail as you'd like, but we are running on a fairly fast pace. Group sessions focus on things best handled as a group; 1-1 and Play-by-Post will handle most character-specific activities. Don't need a party of four to haggle over saving a few silvers when eventually a character may own a silver mine.
About me: Married and basically retired, I set my own schedule but live where few speak English and no one plays DnD. I started playing DnD back in the '80s, have been a gamer since and have published a few scenarios for The Operational Art of War IV.
Want to join the Campaign?
Send me a message with a brief character concept and additional details as you think appropriate.
Character concept should include Class, Race, Alignment, and character motivation/ambitions.
Please apply only if you the “Strongholds and Followers” element really interests you. Notification of acceptance will be sent on Tuesday (March 5).
