A little background:

This boss is the end game challenge for an upcoming charity event at a private table. The players are all D&D veterans. This is a play test one-shot designed to very briefly go through the battle for fine tuning. The total size of the party is 8 players and the fight is balanced for a party of that size. The testing environment will be a voice chat in Discord, no battle map provided as the fight is going to be stream lined down to mechanics rather than nuance. Estimated duration should be no longer than two hours pending turn time.

As per the same allowances they are given, a player is allowed the following:

• 1 x Level 20 Character using Point Buy or Standard Array (No Rolled Stats)
• 3 x Rare-Common Magical Items
• 1 x Very Rare Magical Item
• 1 x Legendary Magical Item

Restrictions:

• No Homebrew, Unearthed Arcana, or Critical Role Content
• All Magical Items must be from the DMG
• Magical Items banned from AL are not allowed such as The Deck of Many Things, Ring of Three Wishes, etc.
• Duplicate Magical Items will be dropped. For example, if all players say they want a Belt of Giant Strength, only one person will get it.
  • Sunsword + Belt of Giant Strength Taken
  • Vorpal (Great Sword variant) Taken
  • Armour of Invulnerability and Dwarven Thrower Taken
  • Iron Flask and Robe of Arachnea Taken
  • Staff of the Magi Taken

The time is TBA. Mostly because the potential que waiting for players can be very long, especially for Tier IV combat which is the rarest of all games. In contrast to a Tier I-II in which more than half of all games remain in.

Some suggestions since I'm not in the mind of screwing over players who would effectively lose out on abilities and also RAW adjustments (this also reminds me I forgot to disclose an important feature which the intended group do know since this is a continuation of a campaign series):

• You can't take Bladesinger. Changelings don't count as being an Elf or Half-Elf which is the primary requirement to being one.
• Trip and Disarm are almost guaranteed super bad ideas. Not saying it's impossible, but it's basically a 0.25% chance of happening.
• The target boss is a Vampiric Greater Champion, your equivalent to a deities representative on the material plane. While they are an Undead, there are several things which would typically work against lower powered Undead that don't work on those imbued with the power of the gods. This means you should expect them to have very good Charisma, Strength, and Constitution scores in addition to proficiency or at least half proficiency. This extends to related skill checks that are typically associated towards CR 18+ Vampires.
• The target boss has access to magical artifacts and is a known summoner. In RPG terms, they would have the classification of a Spell Sword. Their trademark weapon is a Polearm variant. The target does abide by a form of corrupt chivalry. The last time they were engaged by the original party, non-magical attacks were highly ineffective.
• I would recommend Samurai or Champion over Battlemaster. Samurai has strong synergy with Rogues due to the fact you can GIVE yourself Advantage for all attacks made on your turn (works best if you have multi-attack). Champion due to the passive crit chance increase. 
• As a person who has a Rogue/Sorcerer/Warlock - Hexblade isn't worth it if you are already a Fighter. The benefit of higher Fighter levels is so much better. I would suggest 9/11 Rogue/Fighter simply due to the fact you can get yourself up to 3 base attacks, 6 with Action Surge (7 with Haste, 8 with Dual-Wielding and Haste) combined with Improved Critical or Fighting Spirit and sneak attack is a very powerful combo.

ah, I forgot about the bladesinger requirement since I used this character in a campaign where the changeling pretended to be an elf to learn (I'll switch to warcaster or something).

The Hexblade was just additional damage and access to green-flame blade and darkvision + seeing through magical darkness.

Didn't ever pick up extra attack, because the plan was to just cast Booming blade or Green flame blade each time, which doesn't stack with extra attack.

Have a familiar (Spider) that takes the help action to get advantage, then takes full cover by mounting me (goes into my clothes)

usually, would use a Shadowblade, which would give advantage in dim light or darkness, haste is there in case it's better to buff someone else. 

Or honestly I could just get something else, now that I know we're up against vampires and undead.....

I can rebuild it later, if you want, the build wasn't completely optimized for combat since it was for a campaign.

Accepted. Out of curiosity, are you sure you want to stack two Extra Attack features. You only benefit from one. Additionally, Bracers of Defense doesn't work with Animated Shield as the wording is "Using" not "Equipped" or "Holding"

Both accepted. As it stands the encounter will most likely by an EST or UTC -4 for a Friday evening (2000-2300) but it shouldn’t last longer than an hour and a half at most. Final date will be determined pending full or full enough party.
