Howdy Y'all,
I'm currently running a campaign in the Wildemount Campaign setting and am looking to bolster the existing party of 2 players with 2-3 new players. We had a couple players drop out due to personal issues, so we're trying to keep the campaign and fun going.
A Typical Game Session: Usually, our sessions begin with everyone saying hello, grabbing a beverage of their choice, and either a player or the DM doing a "Last week on Dragon Ball Z"-style recap of the events leading up to the current session. This both serves to remind everyone what's going on, and is also a fun way to relax and start getting into character. After that, the session officially begins and players can focus and enjoy roleplaying as the character they made. As the DM, I'll try to use different voices and accents for various NPCs as I find that this helps immerse players and make them more comfortable RP'ing. I'm not a rules stickler and if a rule needs to be looked up during combat, I'll usually just make an arbitrary decision to keep combat flowing and ask the player to look up the rule between rounds so that we know next time. Since we are a relatively heavy-RP group, your character's backstory will matter significantly as I will pull elements from it into the campaign which could be as subtle as giving a spotlight for your character to RP and tell the party about a part of their backstory, or be a major quest chain which takes a dozen sessions to complete.
Campaign Background: The campaign is currently set roughly 1 year prior to where the Explorer's Guide to Wildemount source book is set, so no Critical Role spoilers from either campaign 1 or 2 will be present. The campaign will force players to make various choices where, like in real life, there aren't any clear solutions and being the hero could result in a huge personal loss to your character. This is very much a dark and gritty campaign where players will encounter themes such as the cost of war, tyranny, and revolution or how easily the best intentions can lead to terrible outcomes.
Requirements/Preferences: Because the 2 other existing party members and myself will probably be drinking homebrew'd beer during the session, I would generally feel most comfortable if players were 21+, with 18+ being the minimum due to the dark and gritty nature of the campaign. Both other players and myself are in the 25-28 age range.
Overall, I hope my post gives off the impression that I'm a very passionate DM who will put in the effort to make sure that everyone, including myself, has a fun experience, and hope for my players to do the same.
Hey this post caught my eye and I would be very interested in hearing more about it. I have nearly every sourcebook if that helps and I'm within the same age bracket as everyone else, being 26. Ive been a DM on and off for almost 4 years now but have little experience on the other side of the screen and am looking to change that. Your Wednesday time works perfectly for me as i have nothing panned around then. I can also play any class if a slot needs to be filled. Please send me a private message via D&D Beyond or at my Discord at LaDarkProphet#0561 I hope to hear from you soon ^_^
Hello, this sounds like a good time. I'm definitely interested and would be happy to talk to you about the specifics. I'm EST but that time and day works well for me.
Age wise I'm 33 so there wouldn't be any issue in terms of content or discussion. I'm relatively new to D&D as I started playing during covid but I've been having a great time with it and your group sounds like exactly the type of party I've been hoping to join and play with regularly.
Have a few character ideas I'd be happy to discuss but I'm flexible to filling the needs of the party.
This sounds like it would be right in my wheelhouse! Don’t think I can make the 7CT start time. If the time changes I’d love to join, drink my home brew, and chuck some dice, and have some laughs!
I also live in Texas and this sounds like a very interesting dark style campaign! The day and time are actually perfect for me im free at that time my discord is Ant#3840 if you still have slots available

Hi Leloupe,
I definitely hit all your requirements and would like to talk about whether I meet all your expectations.
Give me a jingle!
Seems you're probably currently full, but if any space opens up I'd definitely be interested. I'm in PST but the time isn't a real issue for me.
