I am a new player to dungeons and dragons and was wondering if there are any welcome? I’m somewhat nervous about asking so I’m sorry if this is a bother.
I am in the UK and I’m over 18, I would prefer no paid games as I can’t afford to pay much and I’m available 2-3 times a week.
I don’t have much experience but I would prefer a group who is open and welcome to a new player.
[Redacted] If you're looking for free games though, I recommend looking at Startplaying.games they typically have a lot of posts looking for players. That site uses a mix of paid and free games, so just filter the results to free games and you should be able to find some free games. It also shows how many seats of a campaign or session are already filles so you can see which groups only need a few more players. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
I am in the process of contacting another UK player. I have one already, she plays AM Monday like 1 am-4 am, Crazy time, but if available ???
We play online, Fantasy Grounds, I have the license, all you need is the Free Demo.
Gender balanced, officially females outnumber at current time. Ages all adult, mostly 20ish. I, the Overking Ivid V, undead icon I use, Rauxes Undying, am the oldest, of course.

Well paid games are the way to go to be honest. I know there is contention with that. But paid games offer a consistent experience. No cancellations(for the most part). High quallity DMs. Very little expense beyond that for the player. Just gotta find one that fits your schedule. I run games on the weekend and only charge 15.00 per 4 hour session. More entertainment then a night at the pub or going to the movies or just about anything else at a fraction of the cost. I do have some players for the UK too. If you are interested please send me a DM and I will give you a link to my discord. We are a great community of players that love this game and are always excited to see a new face.

I don't charge, and I have players in the UK. DMed for decades, don not believe in charging fees.
