Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Face-to-face Experience: New Location/Timezone: Knoxville, TN Availability: Weekdays (including Sunday) up to 8:30pm, Fridays and Saturdays all day. Preferred role: Player Game style: Casual roleplay with action
Okay so, I am new. I have played a few Adventurer's League one shots and I'm really not a fan of the format and loot system and all that extra junk. I've read a lot in depth into game mechanics and such so even though I am new I have a pretty basic idea of how everything works.
Basically, I'm looking for a game that has a fair amount of roleplay, but also is casual and not too serious. Many DMs will make judgments for narrative purposes and I think that's the kind of play I would prefer. Leveling based on milestone, ignoring things like carry weight, obviously not to exploit, just because it's extra minutiae and numbers to deal with. I'm not looking for a strict rule following group at all. Definitely not a number crunchy hack n slash dungeon crawl. That being said, I would still enjoy a fair amount of action as I plan on playing a Barbarian Druid mix, for narrative.
I don't know if this sounds picky or not, I just feel like I know what kind of game I'm looking for. I watch lots of Critical Role, and while I'm obviously not expecting a Matt Mercer as DM, I would like the right amount of flavor and narrative based playing, with combat and validity for every character. I want a campaign that could almost rotate based on each character, if that makes sense. I'm 26 years old if that means anything too. Thanks!
