I am an experienced DM from times long past, 2nd edition, and lost my way with online and computer based RPGs. I am looking to get a group together either online or locally, or both, to rekindle my love of the game and help new players find the same passion I feel

What type of play, character, campaign do you look for?

To be clear, what I a looking to do is to play a few low level adventures to get confident with 5e before moving to a pre-created campaign. After this I would like to introduce my own world map and campaign based on feedback from the players.

Online works for me but I do need commitment.

I would love to join in. My experience is very limited, but I would love to jump in and get to learn 5e with you. My playstyle is mostly roleplaying based, and my availability is pretty flexible. Let me know!

I also have a DnDBeyond account so I can create campaigns and give everyone access to multiple DnD Books. Roll20 is a way to play DnD online, Discord is a chat service that is essentially the go-to for gaming; has VoIP, video, screen share, and you can make lobbies/rooms and bring in bots that can do DnD stuff etc. Sessions just means one day of playing DnD. So 2 days of playing DnD would be 2 sessions.

it's alright i'm farily new to the online stuff myself more experienced with running games IRL with the dice and maps etc haha, i'm keen either way happy to roll up a new character and jump in!

Not played D&D of any sort much for several years, but have a fair amount of AD&D 2e, D&D 3 & 3.5 experience in years gone by!  Played a 1-shot 5e game recently, enjoyed it and so happy to give it more of a go.  Mostly, I miss RPGing in general and D&D has always been my preferred game.  I am based in Manchester, so no probs with time apart from I work until earliest of 4pm and getting home would take me to 5pm.  I am free most weekends though and I've put my game preferences in the auto-signature.

I've looked into roll20 and will take some time to prepare a basic starter adventure, I've done the groundwork today just need to understand the mechanics on the roll20 platform and finish some background story elements.

A couple or three guinea pigs, or lambs, would be greatly appreciated to help me not only translate to 5e but to online gaming also.
