Game: D&D 5e (Core Rules only) Group type: Face-to-face / Pen-and-paper Experience: Novice (prefer a few sessions with 5e) Location/Timezone: TORONTO, Canada (Downtown - Yonge/Bloor) Schedule: bi-weekly in-person games on weeknights (probably 7PM to 11PM) Roles sought: 2-4 Players Game style: Casual story-driven Dragonlance campaign (low to mid-level game play; low magic)
~ GAME TABLE NOW FULL ~
Experienced older DM looking to start a table-top face-to-face DnD5E game. Fun is the main objective. Adult players must be able to commit to in-person tabled-based game play on a bi-weekly basis. DM will host games in the Yonge/Bloor area of downtown Toronto.
If you don’t like or can’t play story-driven games with combat encounters this is not the right group for you. Both ROLL and ROLE play in equal measure. Narrative is based in Dragonlance setting with many homebrew elements; time period just before the War of the Lance (~341AC). No knowledge of Dragonlance game setting nor the novels is needed.
DM has casual gaming style. You role-play in third-person with fun and cooperation between players as the goal for everyone at the table.
Players should be familiar with the D&D 5e rule-set but don't need to be experts; we are all learning all the time in RPGs. Ask the DM if you need more details.

Adventure Prologue:
“Hear the sage as his song descends like heaven's rain or tears, and washes the years, the dust of many stories from the High Tale of the Dragonlance ... ”
It has been over three hundred years since Ansalon’s catastrophic cataclysm. It is a dark age of despair. It is not safe to travel the broken tradeways; nor hunt the fog-filled forests or sail the rough seas of Ansalon. Foul evil creatures lurk everywhere; bandits, thieves and charlatans roam freely and nations are controlled by fearful suspicious leaders.
This is the setting as your humble adventurers leave home in one of Balifor’s remote grass valleys and delve into life-and-death battles, foul politics and high adventure as Ansalon is plunged into a terrifying war. Your actions and adventures will make up the land’s next High Tale and set the course for the future of nations and a world.
Still have space in this game if there are any local players interested in trying out their adventuring skills in the Dragonlance War of the Lance era! ;-)
