Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online / Roll20 Experience: Veteran Location/Timezone: PST Schedule: Open days are SAT Roles sought: Player 1 (I have 5 already) Game style: Official Module (everything)
First 2 sessions are $5 to test me out as a DM and when you realize the fun you are having is worth staying it goes up to $15 per session!
*Level 1-12 and you can use either of these methods to attain your stats. Array 16, 15, 14, 13, 10, 7
*Rolling where the rest of the group can see it and use my custom macro (4d6d1); however, if you roll you must stay with those numbers and cannot use the array. Two re-rolls (for a total of 3 rolls) after the first are allowed but you incur a pentaly for each re-roll (-2 to 2 stats for each re-roll up to a -2 to 4 stats)
I'm Jasen and I am a 29 year old-CNC Machinist near Carson City, Nevada; basically I make stuff all day long. I have been playing on Roll20 since 2016 and I am very happy with my career. One might ask: "then why pay to play if you don't need the money?" Although, I don't DM for a living, like any other player-I also enjoy DnD and it isn't fun on my side when everyone is jumping in and out of the game; for me it is more about consistency (I want to have fun too). I'm not here to shake anyone down but the payment is important!
Feel free to message me on Roll20 or here (better chance of getting me on roll20).
12 PM PST Time Sunday is subject to change if the group requests it.
A single uncommon magic item of my choosing will be given to players with a complete character sheet and backstory before the game starts (minimum of a paragraph up to a page). This helps you really get into character and gets everyone roleplaying from the start.
Open to playing with 6 players but I'd prefer 4 or 5.
This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $15 per 3-4hour session to be paid upfront via PayPal. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
As I said in my post it is for consistency, if you have played in any capacity over the internet you may know that it is difficult to keep a game going. People leave games after playing once and there's nothing but a revolving cast of heroes that ruins the game. Ghosting is a plague on the internet and the paywall hopes to keep players that want to be in there. Just have a jaunt through any forums and it is present everywhere; forum posts not unlike "Can't seem to find a gm", "want to play but no one invites me", "I keep getting into groups that end halfway through the story and I just want to see the end". A payment also ensures your spot, free games get swarmed with tons of players but a payed game gets you in immediately.
There is also this thing on roll20 called "the compendium" which is basically digital purchases I have made on my account; I can share that with my player (I can share all the official books and more with you). Also I have quality maps and story.
Examples of too many players to DM ratio on this very site (let alone others):
Also, I see a lot of people get hung up on the total per session which has nothing to do with each player; each player is 15 and that's it. If you don't want to pay that is completely fine there are free games out there and I wish you luck; I am just posting this for anyone that is ok with $15 a week (I play in 4 games at $10-$20 a week spending about $50-$100 a week I don't see this as a problem). Also since you are so keen on counting up the money that is $4 an hour (which is more than fair for good entertainment); that's like one or two beers at a bar (less than one at a night club) or about the same price as most movie tickets and you get 3-4 hours instead of 1-2.
