Game: D&D 5e Group type: Offline / Face-to-face Experience: Veteran (Play 22yrs, DM 20yrs), multiple systems Location: Atlanta, GA area; Northeast around Tucker/Norcross Schedule: Tuesdays or Wednesdays, Afternoon/Evening hours Preferred Role: 4-6 Players, individuals and/or existing groups Game style: Casual, Mix of combat/roleplay, Working with published/homebrew adventures depending on player preference.
After having done a lot of online play for the past few years, I'd like to hark back to my college days where I would often have dormmates and residents want to have me run a game regularly for them. I'm relatively laid back and love to converse with my players on how to improve the game, what they can bring to the game, and even discussing ways to have their characters more involved and integrated into the story/world the party is playing in. I try to keep up with new source publications and like to see what combinations my players can come up with, and love to see in game as they're not going to create problems with the rest of the group's fun.
My own play style, I like to say, is something of an initial narrative start which branches off into an evolving story the party creates. There's room for combat, social encounters, exploration, and all other sorts of shenanigans.
If that sounds like something that sounds enjoyable you and/or folks you happen to know. I look forward to hearing back from anyone with questions, inquiries, or interest!
Entirely forgot since I first posted - if anyone would like to be able to contact me quickly outside of the forum, my Discord tag is gmRocky#5640. So far I've found one player interested already, so another three to four in the area would help assemble the party and can get the ball rolling into what I hope will be a fun game for those who want a regular non-Adventure League table group, been wanting to try out a table group, or (like myself partially in this next bit) have a bunch of dice which need to experience the heat of combat and roleplay.
Thanks to those who've contacted me already and I look forward to any future messages!
What part of Atlanta? That’s very vague for such a large city. For instance I’m by lake Lanier and wouldn’t be interested in a game in dekalb or Alpharetta. You know what I mean.
Still definitely very open! And that is actually funny that you should mention that, another interested individual isn't off until around that time as well, so that can work out quite well.
Please feel free to message me on Discord so we can coordinate things with everyone, I look forward to hearing from you when possible!
Minor update, this particular posting has three individuals interested and set to meet and form a party of characters. We're looking for one or two more to round us out and make a full and more versatile/balanced out party.
Once again, I look forward to hearing from anyone interested and you can message me on Discord with any questions, concerns, or inquiries!
I'm very interested. Are we looking at meeting every week? every other week? What are we looking at for start time-end time?
I've been playing and running TTRPGs off and on since 2e. I tend to play more story driven characters and run a game that is balanced leaning toward RP over combat but only by a bit.
I'm very interested in this, what hours are we looking at? I'm over in the Canton area and have been trying to find offline sessions for a while. I'm new to the 5e world and the online stuff just doesn't feel like it's the same.
Hey there, PandaninjaX, with four folks set so far, we're looking at times after 7pm on Tuesdays. Though I must say, the Canton area is a bit of a drive, though if that's not issue to you, feel free to send me a message on Discord, we would be glad to have a fifth!

That's a very good point, and I'll fix up the initial post to clarify that.
Hey there!
I don't know if there offer is still open, but I'd love to join if you are! My hours may be no good though, as I don't get off work until 6.
