Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: Any Location/Timezone: Online EDT Availability: We run our sessions every Monday at 9pm EDT for approximately 3 hours Preferred role: I am DM (BWHAHAHAHAHA) Game style: Sandbox Roleplay with possibility for player development and hack 'n' slash and/or loot grab. (Less potential for loot grab: low magic setting, fewer of such items, but they're there.)
Soooo, long story short, we've had a couple players drop, and the current party has two potential PC's for a player to join in and take over. At the moment, we don't need any more players, but we believe that it would add to everyone's fun if we add in the extra player dynamics. (As the DM, I don't like to RP the PC's - I know too much. >.> )
A couple quick notes: -Sandbox campaign -Low magic setting -Odd misfits feel with current group
If this sounds interesting, we use discord and I have the full version of Fantasy Grounds for tactical maps and play (you need not buy anything). Shoot me a message and we'll talk. Thanks!
Hypothetically, what would you (or your PC) choose given the choice between a) saving villages from an apathetic/negligent ruler and possibly overthrowing him b) adventuring through the countryside, lending aid to the helpless and bringing peace and happiness c) reuniting a divided kingdom under one banner after years of unrest and rebellious intrigue
Hey give me an Add on Discord. I run a server that has 40+ dedicated 18+y.o. regular players. We are expanding our roles and server size, as well as looking for new DM's that are up for playing as well. Add me at AWSM Sauce#8527 and we can get your game started soon with as much assistance as you need!
This sounds like an excellent opportunity for me potentially. I am fairly new to the game, but I have a pretty sound understanding of the rules and have been familiar with the game since before 3.5e, I just haven't ever been able to get a good group together for more than one or two meetings.
I have a wide variety of characters I am interested in playing depending on what the party might need, and what you approve of as DM.
What level would the character be? I think my top option for this campaign would probably be an Inquisitive Rogue with the crossbow expert feat and an archaeologist background. I have been thinking Tabaxi, but Variant Human is the other one i was considering.
Also interested in a Dwarf Forge cleric, and a sun soul monk, race TBD (maybe halfling? Infernal tiefling? Tortle?). I also really want to play a minotaur conquest paladin, but that character feels like he would need to be in an evil leaning campaign.
my PC's preference on what we'd do in the campaign would vary. The inquisitive would be mostly concerned with solving mysteries and finding objects of historical or magical origins, not really caring about much else. The dwarf would probably try to overthrow the negligent ruler. sun soul monk.... his motives i would have to consider some more.
Hey, you'd probably be the most experienced player in the campaign, and we've been going steady for quite a few sessions already. It has been a bit heavy on the rp and character side starting out, but there's plenty of potential for more. We can chat and figure out if the setting and campaign would be a fun and good fit for you. Like I said, we're playing already, and we can keep going with the party that we have, but if you'd have fun with us, that'd be better for everyone.
(As for the characters that you might pick up, there's an elf sorcerer and an orc barbarian. We're currently with a level 2 party, but given a good character background, level 3 is possible. I'm pretty flexible with most anything, so most ideas will fly with a little custom fitting for setting's sake.)
Hey, I'm an experienced DM and would love to take the player role for once! I have resources on DnD Beyond which I can share with the group and would be happy to take on any charismatic or intelligent characters you have available. I don't mind about the backstory they will have if you've pre-written them, I can play into anyone and bring that character to life.
Here is my build of the Tabaxi Rogue I would likely play in this campaign. I rolled him out at level 3 for the Inquisitive abilities to kick in. I fleshed out the character aspects fairly well ( ilike the stock ones for the archeologist pretty well), but it could use a little more work.

My backstory is that of a treasure hunter and sleuth, with my archeologist background. I have been fascinated and obsessed with a legend of a lost city and I am intent on being the one to find it and all of the glorious lost knowledge and goodies since hearing the tale as a child. I travel the world searching for clues to it's location, solving mysteries and hunting treasures to finance my search. He is a bit of a coward in combat, mostly terrified of being in melee range with any enemy combatant; however, he is an expert marksman with a crossbow.
