First and foremost the most important thing to know about this is it will be a heavy homebrew DND campaign with a LOT of inspiration from the amazing game series; Fire Emblem.
The details of it all are both super simple and super complicated. A lot of the aspects of both games will merge in this, so those of you who read the books religiously will add this game to your top 10 of games that don't follow the rules.
The Story is thus:
Three dominant factions rule the continent.
The Dawnguard - the very holy and knightly lords and civilians that follow the law of harsh punishment is met with wondrous reward. The White Dragon Empress Catrianna Vel Carna rules these lands.
The Dusk Alliance - the almost complete opposite of the Dawnguard. They rule by survival rules. Whoever is strong enough will find themselves in power here. The Durillian family rule these lands.
Terrant, the home of the Laguz - Terrant is more of a "general" name for the Laguz' choice of home, since most of the land outside of the two other factions is under their minorly peaceful rule. The Laguz' many different species vye for control over each others territories.
Around ten years ago an attempt on Catrianna's life was made by a Dusk spy. The attempt failed miserably, the assailant was killed, and Catrianna's furious attack on the Alliance territories left it scarred white - multiple cities and villages were torn asunder by frost and sword. The Alliance called this attack unwarranted, yet there was nothing they could do in retaliation after the attack.
Cutting to today, Lady Catrianna is calling a meeting at a border between the Alliance and Dawnguard church to reveal a new magic that may finally release the Laguz from their transformation binding.
For one reason or another, you find your journey begin there.
What's different about this?: -To start, this will follow the concept of "classic mode" from fire emblem. Once your character reaches 0hp --- they die. So get yourself multiple character ideas ready. -Character creation itself is completely reinvented for this, mostly for the sake of simplicity / adding fire emblem concepts. More details for this on request. -This will be so heavy on homebrew that you wouldn't know it was DND 5e. Sorry, not sorry. -Recruiting characters mid-battle, similar to Fire Emblem. Different circumstances to recruit different people. -The classes will not include any of 5e's. They will all be homebrew and in-game to choose from once you decide to join.
Requirements to join: -No rules lawyers. -No knowledge of Fire Emblem is required, but it will put you higher on the list for sure. -I retain the right to kick anyone who joins if I / majority of players wish a certain player to leave. So don't have any hard feelings if you're removed, but nobody wants "that player". If you have to ask what I mean by that, typically you're the one I'm talking about.
If you have any questions or wanna apply, ask and use the following template: Your name(preference) and Character Name: Race: Class (Fire Emblem knowledge is mildly required, since we wont use 5e classes): Background: Backstory (keep this secret by sending this application to me):
For varying reasons, each of these have different effects on how you're perceived in the world and what you start with.
