Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: New Location/Timezone: PST (we have a few in different timezones) Schedule: We only plan to play on weekends, mid to late day (evening). First session this weekend. Roles sought: 1 Players Game style: Casual. Everyone in the group (including the DM) is brand new to the game or hasn't played in a long time. It is a loose requirement to play in our group. We want everyone to be newbies. :)
If you're new to D&D and are looking for a group that will learn with you, please feel free to post (or private message me). At this time we're mostly interested in players who don't have much experience with the game. All sessions will be online. The adventure we're running is "Waterdeep: Dragon Heist", which doesn't allow dragon-based PC. Keep that in mind.
So far we're using MapTool for our VTT (it's free and open source) and Mumble for voice chat (though we're trying the new steam client for it currently. Very similar to discord). Roll20 as a backup.
I'll be your DM. For character creation/information I own the legendary bundle and a master subscription so all options are available for character creation (except dragon, as above) if you can make a good reason for it.
Overall, we are just looking to learn the game together and have a good time.
Apologies, yes. It is still over voice chat. I updated the parent post to be more specific. I don't know if the timezone is a deal breaker, we have a player (a maybe) who is from Europe so we're pretty flexible on that front.
Hey there I am a pretty new player, have played almost exclusively combat scenarios for less than ten sessions, but would like to learn how to role play. I am pretty open weekends, with my current job I am on a schedule to work a saturday every five weeks. I am interested in trying any class, and never been too interested in a dragonborn.
I am in the CST zone and will ask more questions if you are interested in having me.

I don't see any problems so far. Feel free to private message me your questions. It'll keep this forums post clean.
