Me and my friend Shadow wanted to rekindle our RPG experience and are looking for a group (preferebly longer campaign) to join or a DM that would start one with us and a few other players (we don't have those yet). We are located in GMT+2 and sadly are limited to Thursday evenings/nights.
We have a fairly worked out pair of characters with connected backstories that we would like to bring on the adventure. If you'd like to know more about that to decide, I'd prefer to take it to private conversation, but be assured that we consider ourself fans of detailed characters and are still willing to make changes to make things work out. Due to the nature of our character concepts we'd prefer a homebrew world, though adaptions of existing settings are totally fine with us. We just bring a decent chunk of worldbuilding with us that we (while absolutly willing to discuss and adapt to whatever you bring to the table) would like to fit into the setting. Same goes for the adventure; if you'd rather play a published module that's fine, though we'd like to keep our backstory roughly the same; we have no prior experience with any modules though I had a peak into lost mines of phandelver, so that's probably not the best option.
We don't mind new DM's (or fellow players for that matter) but due to bad experiences in my games lately, I'd like to emphasize that I value the ability to improvise a lot. (I know that can be hard, especially when faced with strangers, so don't stress too much... just a little ;) ). We do have roleplay experience and really want to craft a story that hopefully will be fun for everyone involved, that's really the most important. I have never DMed 5e, but I can offer to help out with worldbuilding to a degree, because I love doing that. We also bring some drawing skills to the table and would within reason and the limits of our abilities put those to use for the group, if wanted.
I, while still kinda new to 5e, am quite good with the rules. Shadow has no first hand 5e experience yet, but she's quick to pick up on stuff like that. We have both watched critical role, but we are not expecting a Matt Mercer, I just like to mention that because it definitly shaped what we want in regard of roleplay experience. We are also definitly not too fond of min-maxing, focusing on creating interesting and fun characters instead (within reason, noone wants to die before the adventure really begins). We are both mid 20 and not native in english, though that shouldn't be too much of a problem. LGBT and related themes and topices aren't either and we'd rather like to join up with people who share that opinion.
If you want to contact us, feel free to do so here or on my Discord: Fionir#4316 We'd be glad to hear from you.
Or in short: Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: New to 5e; but with prior experience in other systems (I'm a little more familliar with the rules than Shadow) Timezone: GMT+2 (we're fine with nightime games though) Availability: Thursday after 10pm (which would be 4pm EST) and till no later than 4am (10pm EST) Preferred role: Players Game style: We're looking for a roleplay focused game, that builds on character relationships and growth; we would prefer a (at least lightly) homebrew world and adventure to accomodate our concept
