Tensions grow as Zhentarim and Xanathar’s Guild drag their conflicts onto the streets of Waterdeep. Rumors swirl that something was stolen from Xanathar, something connected to untold wealth hidden in the city.
But all that is put on the shelf, because today is the Day of Wonders! The parade of magical (or malfunctioning) inventions is over, and you make for the opening of the Sea Maidens’ Faire -- the biggest carnival on the Sword Coast.
Something catches your eye outside the entry gate -- posted on a job board, written in vivid purple ink:
“Adventuring party looking for fifth member. HQ at Trollskull Manor in North Ward. Healers preferred, but not essential. Able to stay calm in chaotic situations. Experience putting out fires a plus. No warrants with City Watch preferable, but not required. Come to the Faire and look for the half-orc cuddling owlbear cubs.”
