Back From Deployment, Looking for Group

Game: D&D 5e (Open to other games, too)
Group preferred: Face-to-face (bay area California), but I am fully capable of using Discord and other formats
Experience: Veteran. Started in the early days of 3.5 and play tested 5E before release
Location/Timezone: Bay Area, California (GMT-8)
Availability: weekly evenings after 1500(3pm) Friday can play super late, all day Saturday, and Sunday can start when ever but would have to end around 2200(10pm)
Preferred role: Player, i would like to stretch my DM muscles and maybe co DM something. 
Game style: Open to all types as long as there is room to RP.

I have returned from almost being out of the country for 2 years and i would really like to play in a game of D&D. First thing i did was jump into an adventure league game, but it just wasn't enough for me. Currently i am going to school so my weekday mornings are booked, but my evenings are completely free. I live in Campbell California, I have a car so i am willing to drive and meet with a group, or get on my new computer and use my headset. I really enjoy playing 5E and I am happy to do campaigns out of a book, but i prefer diving into homebrew worlds and learning all about it through reading and experience.
