Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online / Face-to-face / either (Honestly, I've set it up for online - Discord/Roll20... but could easily adapt for in person if anyone is local around Ashland, OH) Experience: New (ish) - I messed around a bit in Highschool, now in my 40s and really into D&D. I have played a number of times, but I'm ready to DM considering there are no local groups I know of. I'm an artist, and an art teacher and I just love creating worlds and telling stories. Location/Timezone: I am EST. Availability: Sat/Sun nights 6ish and onwards depending on the availability of the group. Preferred role: DM looking for 4-6 players Game style: This will be a loose combination of the Starter Set (Lost Mines of Phandelver) and the Essentials Kit (Dragon of Icespire Peak) - with a liberal dosage of homebrew content.
Dragons are on the rise in the Sword Coast region! The city of Neverwinter is your starting point, where you will find a group of like-minded adventurers and set forth on a seemingly simple delivery errand. Your adventure may lead to riches, adventure, ancient ruins and lore, and whatever you - the player- wish to bring to the story.
My job, as the DM, will to make sure we - as a group-are telling a cohesive, bad-ass story together. I'll try my hardest to weave your stories into the base of the world I have started to create. I'll need your help.
What help? I need 4-6 new, somewhat new, or advanced adventurers with open minds and a story they'd like to tell. PLEASE, be 18+. I teach kids all day, and normally cuss like a sailor. This will be a no filter game. If that offends you, or if you are under 18, please move along. We will be playing on Discord (for rolling, and middle of the week communication, I like Avrae for rolling) and also Roll20 for game nights (There's a lot of visual stuff I'm creating, and we can use their video/voice chat at your discretion)
I'd like to stick to the main D&D races/classes (Please, no Critical Role or homebrew content - for now) ... We will start at lvl1, and hopefully play untill we reach much higher.
The world we start in is going to be familiar to a degree (Forgotten Realms), and I reserve the right to include, exclude, and "riff off" D&D content, etc. I WILL be making things up, creating new content, and using existing content as our adventure progresses. This will be a unique adventure, one with consequences and rewards.
Planned (Loose) Starting in EARLY NOVEMBER (the weekend of the 9th/10th at the LATEST) with the weeks before consisting of me working with everyone on an individual basis with their stories, and getting you all to the same starting point.
(ALSO, I'm renovating our bathroom, so we should be moved in by then.. lol)
PLEASE: If you are interested in creating stories in this world, MESSAGE me :

Hey I am 36 and my time zone is NFLD, its about a hour and a half off est but i am willing to join. i haven't played d&d since 3.5 so its been awhile but willing to learn the new system my discord is Memnuch#7829
I'm in Australia and it appears that your time might be 10am over here. I played in the late 80's for a couple of years as a thief. I'd like to play a rogue if possible. I loved that character and he just got to 5th level before my family had to move and I couldn't play anymore. I'd be happy to start at 1st level because the rules seem to have changed since then. The problem is, I'm a shift worker and I'm probably not going to be available all the time. I am really keen to get back into D&D though. What do you reckon? If the games were recorded somehow I could listen to games I missed and catch up maybe. I don't know, I'm not that tec savy.
Putting this project on the back burner due to family emergency. Will update all of you ASAP when my scheduling allows. Terribly sorry for those that already started with me.
