Welcome adventurers to the world of Aurora. A world of adventure, magic, technology and mystery. It will be up to you to make your own way within this world. So, you have been warned.
History The world of Aurora was once a very different world, magic flowed through it like an untamed rapid and those who could command and manipulate the water of those rapids, were the rulers of this world. Only ones above those were the divine themselves who, during this time of paradise, known as the Eden Times, walked among the mortals who worshipped them. The stories of how the Eden Times ended changes from species to species or even in some cases, from scholar to scholar. The most wide-spread belief of why this now mythical time ended is due to an event known as the Great Calamity. The calamity is said to be when Devils and Demons first entered the world of Aurora. Seeing this vibrant and peaceful world as a perfect place for expansion and warfare. The peace-loving mortals and their divine were caught completely unaware and were forced into servitude. Uncounted years past before a few of the divine had grown tired of the current way of things and strove to push these vile creatures back. These divine would later become known as the 12 Pillars of Aurora.
Azuth - God of Magic. Bahamut - Platinum dragon deity. Ilmater - God of Endurance. Loviatar - Goddess of Pain. Moradin - God of Smithing. Myrkul - God of Death. Savras - God of Divination and Fate. Selûne - Goddess of the Moon. Silvanus - God of Wild Nature. Tempus - God of War. Tiamat - Multi-headed dragon deity. Tyr - God of Justice.
With the Demons banished to the Abyss and the Devils banished to the Infernal Layers, the divines were left in a very vulnerable spot, their power greatly diminished. Some of the divine fell into a long slumber and have never awakened. Some died due to their exhaustion and injuries, returning to the Ether, a primordial realm of energy that all of creation is spawned from. Some… Well some of the divine turned against their kin, making pacts with the demons and devils and some… Some going so far as to seek the destruction of what they had once fought so hard to protect. Due to this, a group of divine gave up their Ether to become a protective barrier around the world of Aurora. These divine, due to having their very essence repurposed to protect the world were forgotten, as creation itself forgot that these selfless sons and daughters gave this greatest of sacrifices. 4,000 years have past since then, the world moved on and it’s people made advancements in the fields of both magic and science. Schools of magic were formed to teach young magic users how to properly hone their skills, while advancements in technology created such wonders as the air ship and the Warforged.
Current Age Now, it is the Age of Kingdoms, or AOK for short. The current year is 16 of the Age of Kingdoms, only 16 years after the turn of the age. The previous age was the Age of War due to the war between the kingdoms of Valerius and Tyrus. The rival kingdoms had warred for over 500 years until the ruler of the Tyrus nation, King Vuldar Tyrus XII slew the ruler of the Valerius kingdom. King Lacoic Valerius I in a great battle within the capital city of the Valerius Kingdom, the city of Wolf heart. However, after the death of king Lacoic, king Vuldar took the daughter of the Valerius royal family as his wife and formed an alliance through marriage with the Valerius family. In turn, the Valerius kingdom would become a vassal of the Tyrus and be fully under the protection of the Tyrus kingdom. After 500 years of constant warfare, the people were eager for peace and readily accepted, bowing before their new rulers. Thus, king Vuldar Tyrus XII became known as the Unifier King and the Age of War came to a close, followed by the current age.

Venheim Island is where your adventure begins young adventurers, an island ripe with opportunity, if you only have the cunning, courage and imagination to capture it. The nations currently occupying this small island are as follows.
If you don’t mind having a beginner check it out I would like to try to ease into your game. I don’t think I have the skill or knowledge to dive in comfortably but with time I may or may not find a nice spot in your group.
