WHAT IS A LIVING CAMPAIGN?

WORLD OF OHR AT A GLANCE:

• System: Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition - House Rules & Homebrew.
• Over 100 Archetypes for classes (official sources, UA, Heroes of Midgard, etc). Nine custom races with more on the way.
• A dark, brutal setting. Inspired by the likes of Dark Souls, The Witcher, Conan, and Lovecraft.
• Mic required. Primarily voice based game using Discord and Roll20 for maps/tokens/music/etc.
• A living campaign with games ran as one-shots, campaign scenarios, large scale server events and more.
• Age Requirement: 16+
• Registration required. We want dedicated players and game masters.
• LGBT friendly with a code of conduct in place.
• New player friendly and new players always welcome to join. Veteran players are always welcome as well.
• Game Masters who wish to world build, create lore or to run games in our setting are free to sign up as a trial GM and begin playing.

YOU WILL PROBABLY ENJOY THIS GAME IF...

• You're okay with heavy homebrew. Stress, banned spells, spell points, critical hit & fumble charts, madness and more!
• You want a large sandbox role-playing game where you can explore a massive ruined city, multiple continents, and countless deadly dungeons.
• You're okay with change. We're often adding in new class archetypes, races, maps, lore, etc. This is a constantly evolving project and sometimes that means we need to make updates to balance certain things or to ensure a fun gaming experience for our game masters and players.
• The world doesn't adhere to 'levels'; you may very well be adventuring into territory where a powerful troll has made his home. Just because you're level 1 doesn't mean he's going to scale to the level of your adventuring party. He might kill you easily. It's up to players to know when to run.
• You enjoy old school meat grinders, where traps are deadly, the world is dangerous, cruel and evil men are terrifying, and monsters? Monsters are the truly horrifying beasts of the night that pose monumental challenges. Come prepared for anything.
• If you want to help us create a world while we play games together. We reward players who world build and submit content to our website with 'Patron Points' that allows them new features and bonuses for their characters.
• IF you LOVE detailed and gruesome combat descriptions and gore.
• If you enjoy Dark Souls and Bloodborne. This setting is cruel and relentless. This is not a heroic world.
• The Meta-Game. I'm talking about features like 'Inspiration' that has no other point of being in the game other than because it's a fun mechanic and a way to reward the players for playing their characters well. We've gone a step further and have created a number of achievements, land ownership, and a few other systems that you're welcome to take part in but it's totally fine if you don't.

YOU WILL PROBABLY QUIT AFTER THE FIRST SESSION IF...

• You're looking for a 100% genuine 5e experience set in the Forgotten Realms.
• You're a rules lawyer or you read through the monster manual while we play the game.
• If you've actually read this post please post 'silverstrand' somewhere in your application.
• If you don't like the idea of being able to shoot a goblin in the face with a flintlock pistol.
• If you're playing a character who is evil or more interested in their own goals than that of the parties, it's okay to be the renegade outsider but not if it means your goal is to back-stab or kill the party in the process. Don't be that guy. You know who I mean. The piece of ****.

Is there a specific waiting time for those who put there application through? I submitted mine and just didnt know if there has been an influx of people wanting to play.

The application process will more than likely take a bit of time as we get numerous apps at a time, plus with the Holiday season here it will more than likely be a tad bit slower than normal. Once we get the applications in and we start to go through them, those who are considered a good fit for the game will be contacted on Discord.  :)
