Hello! I'm a DM seeking a player Mondays 7PST-9:30, 10:00 PST The players just finished a section of the campaign and are about to start the next part on Monday. 4 people are switching characters so a bit over half the party will be changing. The campaign itself is homebrew, has a fair amount of political intrigue/lore and everyone's at level 10 at the moment. our characters: An Elf assassin/rogue, a paladin/warlock, a kobold artificer, a genasi-tiefling sorcerer, A aasimar glamour bard, and a rival lore bard.
Please tell me a bit about the character you'd like to use! Give a small description, and please answer the following scenario: You're in a crowded market and you see a pickpocket steal from a struggling merchant. What do you do?
I was thinking about playing a gentle giant Barbarian/Bard(in training), born in a cold part of the region. He probably traveled from his homeland to come to more peaceful place.
Scenario Answer: He would try to calm down the situation(with physical force if necessary) and pay for the pickpocket's things.
I really wanna play a super fancy sorcadin inspired by baroque and rococo france, (I'm a sucker for art history and concept art). They would catch the thief (or try) and make a big dramatic scene of it.
First off, good morning | day | evening. :D I would like to join the cause, having a character in mind. Vishara (She) will be a kind-hearted and wise Kalashtar Monk, that pursue the Way of the Astral Self. Born and raised by Monks, since all of her family have the same way, she grew up in peace and harmony. Learing about her purpose in life, she left the Temple and goes on a pilgermage with the goal to help people in need and learing more about the world and her true self. The Name of her bounded Quori is Ishara, who is the inspiration for helping the innocent. Allthough she can't really talk to him, she will sometimes have some even talks without noticing that it does seems wierd when she's talking out loud to nothing but herself.
In this scenario there would be only one solution for her. Vishara would call them out asking what the shizzle he's doing there. If he's running, she's running behind but else she will try to calm the situation.
My character would be a human Monk (way of the open hand) who had the pull to leave their monastery (wanderlust) with no real direction or idea whats in store for them minus the need to experience life to the fullest. Their entire life was spent behind the gates of the tradition. Broke out in the middle of the night they are ready for whatever they may come across (or at least they think they are).
Seeing that scene in the market they would intervene immediately and try to chase down and subdue the thief however that would be needed for the purpose of returning the money to the merchant (and maybe asking for a product discount for their assistance)
The character I'd like to use is a Shadar-kai Blood Hunter. (Idk if you'd allow a BH, but if not I have another character prepped.) My character would be of the Order of the Lycan. He's sort of new to being able to make his own decisions and is trained already to hunt people because of his past service of the Raven Queen. After being let loose from the Raven Queen's service he was given freedom to make his own choices. He makes money doing what he already knows, and seeks to learn how to just live, with his newfound freedom.
If he saw a pickpocket taking money from a merchant, he'd probably point it out to the group and in a very curious manner ask if they should do anything about it. He's getting used to deciding for himself so checking with his group is a must until he finds his own style of life. If the group decides to stop the pickpocket he'd bring no remorse in pursuit, but if the latter were to occur, he'd probably dwell on the different choices that could've been made in that exact moment.
P.S: I also rolled all my HP and ability scores myself.
If you want to invite me to the group and I don't respond quickly on here you can message me via Discord ---------> [Username]: Roark#0051
so hexblade warlock .so I was thinking about a Tiefling who's grandfather, a human was cursed by zariel through a deal for a magic weapon causing his bloodline to become tieflings, after stealing the weapon from the grandfather it imbued him with powers of a warlock.
He would try to reimburse the the merchant best he could and then later hunt down the thieves and try to get back the goods
