Game: D&D 5e Group type: Face-to-face Experience: One Year Location/Timezone: Colorado Springs, Colorado ; East Library Schedule: Saturdays from 12 to 5, either weekly or bi-weekly depending on player availability. I'm open to other days and times provided they fit with my work schedule. Roles sought: 3- 5 Players Game style: Role Play heavy, I love it when players get immersed into the world and their characters! We probably won't get along if you are a combat or loot focused player. I very much believe that DMs should have a collaborative, not competitive, relationship with their players. There will be some challenging combat encounters, but I will never go out of my way to kill or hinder the players; its my job to ensure players are having fun. New and experienced players are welcome!
Combat will be a mixture of Theater-of-the-Mind with diagrams and sketches so that everyone knows where their position on the battlefield is. There will be some home brew rules for the purposes of fun and streamlining (i.e. free starting feat, simplified initiative, no ammo tracking, etc.) but otherwise, no home brew. The characters will be from the forgotten realms, so no races from the Eberron or Ravnica source books. You can choose either standard array or point buy for your attributes, and you can choose to either take the equipment given by your class and background or purchase it. If you're new and none of that makes sense, don't worry, I'll explain everything to you when we first meet.
We will be running the Curse of Strahd module, a campaign set in the misty forests of and dreary towns of Barovia, a land ruled by powerful vampire Strahd Von Zarovich. I'm hoping to find enough interested players that we can meet up at the East Library in Colorado Springs on Saturday December, 21st to discuss group expectation and make characters. If you're interested, or have any questions, respond to this post or email me at judedismas2410@gmail.com.
Hey, I'd like to show my interest in this. I've played 5e for a while(Mostly DM'd) and haven't ever ran Curse of Strahd despite all the good things I've heard about it. If you're still looking, I'd like to throw in a Half-Elf Lore Bard character I've had in mind. I'm available Saturdays and the location works out for me.
