Summary

Rumors whispered ear to ear cloud the capital. The whispers say that devils secretly run the government of Ardorserii. The Celestial Magnate is the sovereign ruler of the country, and the gossip even surrounds the Magnate's family. There has always been something not quite right about Princess Asuandria Bertholf. It's an understatement to say the Magnate has always been over protective and careful about who she has allowed around the princess. Rumors have started to circulate among the nobility of Ardorserii, that the princess has eyes black as midnight, and that the Bertholf family consorts with demons and devils in the shadows of their castle. On the eve of Princess Asuandria’s 16th birthday, Celestial Magnate Airyana Bertholf has decided to hold a celebration in honor of the Princess, unveiling her to a select few noble families in an attempt to put the rumors to rest. You are among the few to receive an invitation.

Overview

This will be a story focused campaign built around dark secrets coming to light with lots of roleplay and adventure intrigue. This campaign will be structured similar to an adventure module and have more of a direction than past games I have ran with the focus of the campaign being more so the overarching story than the individual elements of the characters involved. This will not be railroaded, as always there will be many opportunities for the group to influence the course of the story. Every game will be live streamed. The Ilderon Tales Vision

The Ilderon Tales is a community of some 30+ players and dungeon masters who have come together to embrace the story telling aspect of 5e dnd. The aim of the Ilderon Tales is to create an environment where interesting fantasy tales can be created and shared with others. This comes with three agreements we have with each other:

1. Commitment to the story: The driving aspect of the Ilderon Tales is the story. By joining and playing, understand there is a commitment to telling a tale that is worth someone’s time and is interesting or moving to experience or listen to.
2. Playing in the campaign means you will create & experience the story: Stories inherently involve conflict. Conflict is hard and might not be fun as you’re going through it, but looking back the experience becomes more worthwhile because of the conflict.
3. We are a community: Don’t be afraid to talk or ask questions. If you have problems with the admin or the dungeon master, speak up and voice them. Feedback only ignites improvement.

Session Information

This game is completely free to play, all the campaigns and games I run are. Tipping is encouraged but not expected. Saturday at 6:30pm CDT. Discussing character creation, party composition, and scheduling. We currently have 6 players, and we are looking for 1 more player in total.

About the Dungeon Master...

Howdy doodles!! I have been DM'ing for nearly a decade. I am a very story focused and RP heavy dungeon master. With a background in stand up comedy and writing Epic Fantasy fiction I bring a unique flavor of off-centered story telling to the table. My favorite type of games to run are political thrillers, my general philosophy: the scariest thing is not the monster lurking in the cave, but the scariest thing is what the unsuspecting person next to you is willing to do.
