We recently lost a player and are looking to replace them. I am running a campaign and we're only just finishing our second session so no worries about playing hours of tedious catch-up! There are currently five players so with you that would make 6. We tried to be nice and laid back so if you're new to DnD or know someone who's new then don't worry about asking! We're hoping for another woman to replace the one we lost because its so cool having an almost all woman group and we want to keep that going!
Some pieces of info about the group:
We are an in person group and we are in a generic campaign, no modules or specific theme to gameplay. True player choice that I adjust to depending on how gameplay is going. The campaign is a total homebrew which allows me to balance out gameplay with however you decide to play or class to embark on.
Don't worry about balance when making a character. If you've always wanted to play something or just enjoy what you like then go for it! If there's a homebrew class you like just run it by me but most likely it'll be fine. We'll find a way to fit your character into the world. Don't worry about balance or any of that! I once had a player play as a sapient familiar so likely whatever character you have will be fine lol
We meet Saturday afternoons/evenings about twice a month (though we're flexible with everyone's schedules). If you have any questions or are interested please feel free to ask!
I'm interested, but some more information would be appreciated (and recommend to edit your post so you don't keep getting asked the same questions.)
It kind of sounds like you are a face-to-face group, but I could be wrong since you don't state it. If you are an online group, what platforms do you use? If you make use of discord, do you have an ID you are willing to share?
What is the play style? Hack'n slash, RP, dungeon crawling, or do you try to balance it all? Is the campaign a homebrew or a module? Bring a character (if so, what are the rules in its build,) or will you work with someone to make one?
Apologies didn't realize I didn't include that! I will edit the main post after I respond now! To answer your questions:
-We are an in person group so no discord
-Just a general campaign, RP mainly with the freedom of the players deciding what kind of campaign they're going to play.
-The campaign itself is a homebrew.
-If you are alright making a character then go for it! If you need help or want help also perfectly happy to help. You can pick whatever you want to play, don't worry about party balance. We'll find a way to fit it into the world.
-Balance is my worry, so I adapt the story and enemies accordingly to the players and the types they are playing.
I'd be interested in joining this campaign. I'm a 20 year old male and a relatively new, I have about 3 months of experience that is on Discord. I would definitely like to hear more about this.

Quick bit about myself. Male, early 30's, dated D&D experience, so technically a new player with a good understanding. More information here (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/looking-for-players-groups/53370-new-player-in-the-new-year) Sorry, currently on phone and can't do hyperlinks right now.

We are still looking if anyone is interested or know someone who would be interested!
