We had our replacement player back out due to promotion at work, so we are looking for a replacement replacement player. Preference is given to fellow streamers, no matter which service is streamed to. Games are Fridays at 9:30PM EST (-5 GMT), being 30 minutes early is preferred. We use discord for voice and cameras, and roll20 for battle maps. Our game is 100% homebrewed world, all races/classes are allowed or considered. We are currently level 4 with a 36 point buy in at level 1. Backstory for character is highly advantageous, as DM will give a special item to you that would work with background, and DM is eager to play your background into the game.
Current Party Comp: Barbarian dwarf, Sorcerer half-elf, Rogue gnome, Cleric half-elf
Please fill out the standard questionnaire please:
Game style preferred: I prefer to play more support characters with simple Role playing (Play the characters personality but tend not to voice act). My characters tend to be more support characters.
Experience: I've played D&D since I was a kid, so a little over 10 years with large breaks in between games. I have recently started DMing more as its gotten hard to find IRL games.
Location/Timezone: EST
Character idea: I would love to play a control bard, a support character that is more about battle field control than doing damage. Their personality would actually fit that situation, they rely on others to deal with threats will providing support to help them deal with those threats, but would rather choose to run away on a 1v1 situation. I can provide a more comprehensive background and personality if you like. There is one flaw, I am actually a freak of nature and don't listen to music, so I sadly wont be able to be a musical bard and would be more a words smith bard. If that is unacceptable, I understand. Some people dislike words bards of musical bards.
Streamers channel: I've never streamed D&D before, but wouldn't entirely be opposed to it. I currently do not have a Camera, but am happy to pick one up. My mic is of "good" quality as in I can be heard fine and it seems to have no issues, but its far from a few hundred dollars mic quality.
Game style preferred: I'm typically the DM in most my experiences, but I enjoy filling all roles as a player. From support to lead roles, I enjoy all of it. I favor role play and adventure to the constant grind of battle, although I enjoy that too.
Experience: I've been playing for about 16 years with the majority being a DM. I began with 3e at around 12 and have played every edition since.
Location/Timezone: North East MA/EST
Character idea: I have many ideas. Based on the group you have assembled I'd either play as a support spellcaster like an Aasimar Warlock, or a human or half elf fighter for a more physical support role. I'm open to anything but Bard since I'm not quick enough to come up with any good songs or poems.
Streamers channel: I was the DM for a youtube campaign, but the group abruptly came to a stop when I moved away. As for streaming, I have a twitch account but have not begun streaming. I own several cameras and a high quality headset for a mic.
My question for you is what time would the stream go until each Friday?
