Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online (Roll20 and Discord) Experience: open to beginners and up Location/Timezone: CST Schedule: Monthly on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for 4-6 hours (starting in March) Roles sought: players (age 30+) Game style: Casual game with mixture of combat and role-play based on comfort level of players.
I am looking for some swarthy dungeon-crawlers to delve into the Dungeon of the Mad Mage. I am hoping to gather a party of 6 players so that we have wiggle room for occasional absences.
The sessions will be 4-6 hours long, monthly, on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. I’d like to have sessions wrap up by 8pm (CST), but the final day and starting time will be determined by the group. The first session will be mid to late March.
The game is casual and fun-focused, but we will be doing some resource tracking (light, food, water, etc), but not letting it get in the way. We will be starting at 4th level. I am very open to allowing official and unofficial rule supplements, pending approval.
I have been a DM for years (1e, 2e, 5e) but this will be my first foray into online play, so I am sure there will be a bit of a technical learning curve on my part. We will be using Roll20 for maps and visual, with Discord for voice and text chat (and probably rolling).
I can get behind this. If you have an adventure, I’m your huckleberry. I have an excellent drunken monk from 3.5E, and I can easily update him for 5e, though I’d like to discuss keeping a few flavor elements from 3.5e. As a player, I get along with everyone, in all sorts of groups. I’ve played with everyone from a group of demons in In Nomine to a lighthearted jaunt through feudal Japan in Legend of the 5 Rings. Does this sound agreeable to you?
