Been awhile since I was involved in a campaign and I'm looking for a group to join with one of my current, created characters or with a new one (DM's choice). I'm hoping to find a group who's pretty flexible on the time and is willing to work with my weird work schedule. I'll do my best to work with whoever is involved as well. I'm hoping to get a group that has a good blend of storytelling and action.
If not, I'm also considering running my own campaign for the first time so if there's a DM who is interested in helping run but not run the entire thing, I'm down to learning the ropes and doing the hoops and hurdles myself.
Old experienced play-by-post player, new to D&D 5e and the current state of roleplaying.
Not presently looking for face-to-face games.
Looking for Play-by-post
Maybe looking for online video/streaming games (GMT + 7 , so that means my early mornings can be your evenings)
I prefer roleplaying focused on character interaction (battle can be a sort of interaction), descriptive writing, and immersion in stories, but hey, I'll fight in your gladiator pits too.

Yep, I'm right there with you. I'd rather get comfortable with walking before I try to make a campaign fly. How's that been for you on Dnd Beyond so far?
So are you looking more for play-by-post on here or campaigns run on Roll20 and such? It's been alright so far. Had a campaign start, we made a decent go of things and had a pretty well-blended group; but, then some stuff came up and our DM had to cancel the campaign. Took a break for a bit and now I want to be in another or a new campaign.
Are we aiming more for starting with level 1 characters and progressing through the story or characters with a slightly higher level and more backstory?
Discord is pretty simple, it's mostly used to coordinate between the members for planning the days, keeping key notes or events. As well as hosting voice chat channels for the role plays that can be split depending on the size of the group. Really depends on what people want for the best utilization. I can agree, though online role playing grants a lot more leniency on who you play and helps find a group more willing to suit your desires.
I'm down for that. I have a rough sketch idea for a campaign if we can get a large enough group and another person with DM experience to help me run it.

Excellent, the more in our merry band the better!
