New Player in EST looking to join a group

After eight months of listening to live-play D&D podcasts, six months of watching Critical Role Campaign 2 (still not caught up yet), it only took a self-quarantine to finally get me into looking to trying to join a game online.  I'm a bit shy at joining in...well, anything, but have been really wanting to give it a try.  It's something that I've been wanting to do since pre-quarantine and something that I would like to continue after.

Game: D&D 5e
Group preferred: Online
Experience: New (I have consumed so much content that I understand a lot of the rules through)
Location/Timezone: I'm located in Eastern Time Zone
Availability: I work Monday through Thursday 9-5, though with currently working from home my Fridays off have swapped with my Mondays.  I would be available on weekdays after 6:00-6:30pm.  I'm free weekends as well.  
Preferred role: Player
Game style: I'm looking for a balanced game I guess?  I'm not exactly sure.  I want it casual enough to have fun, but also follow the rules, with a good mix of role play and battle.
