I'm in the middle of my children/family/work-life but I'm also looking for a D&D game to unwind and enjoy some roleplay with friendly people online. I know there are a lot of groups forming with younger people, who have more time and who can move fast and play short-notice sessions or many hours long sessions, fairly frequently. I'm not one of them anymore, unfortunately.
I still hope there's a group out there who can accomodate a player like me, maybe people who live in a similar situation and share the experience/understanding in some way. Looking forward to hearing from you. :)
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online (Discord/Hangout/Skype or whichever) Experience: 4 years of 5e, many more years of roleplaying in general Location/Timezone: CET (Central European Time) Availability: weekdays' after work evenings, roughly around 21:00, or Sunday evenings - usually after the kids sleep, for 2-3 hours of game time Preferred role: Player Game style: I enjoy roleplaying to unwind and escape real life for a bit, but I also like crisp combat encounters. Any kind of progression is good progression for me. :)
Im currently studying and after the corona-thing be back in a part-time work schedule. So I get the situation (well at least regarding the lack of flexibility). Im currently GMT+2. Im 29 btw.
I have no experience in DnD but a few years in pathfinder, which is, from what ive heard just a complicated version of DnD 3.5
I do have some experience DMing and Id like to do so at some point, but to begin with Id feel more comfortable playing, since its been a while since i last played a PnP and ive not done it in english so far.
I completely agree with you on game style
regards Hauke
