Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: New Location/Timezone: Victoria Australia Availability: Tuesdays and Wednesdays Preferred role: Player Game style: I am currently looking for a group that likes a nice mix of both roleplay and combat. I'm fine with homebrew campaigns and characters as long as the rules for them are established and clear to all.
Just here looking for a group of people to go dungeon crawling with and possibly make some friends along the way. I currently need a DM and at least three more PC's to join me if your interested in filling any of these positions please comment below.
Edit: Thx everyone for the interest in joining my adventure. All the positions are now filled.
I am definitely available for play. Been playing for over a year and a half, alongside DMing for over a year now as well. I do have a very particular character though that I wish to be joining in with. So hopefully there won't be any problems with her.
My Discord to get in contact me is D1sYoB0iHere#2271.

Name/alias: Ed
Discord tag: RedXMerc#3279
Game: D&D 5e - Really fell in love with this system
Group preferred: Online - We're hiding form the plague, folks!
Experience: Veteran, started with 3.0 when it was released.
Location/Timezone: Hawaii Standard Time
Availability: Weekdays after 3PM HST (9PM EST, 6PM PST)
Preferred role: Player (I have some characters I need to breath more life into)
Game style: Roleplay & Mechanics even mix, casual enough to let the roleplay breath. (Not interested in meat grinders, edgelord worlds, or west marches)
Availability:
I'd rather play after 3PM-ish HST (9PM EST/6PM PST) so that I can keep with the group once work picks up again. I've got more hours available right now, but that's due to the pandemic, so I want to start in hours I know I'll have long term. I've got a good low level campaign for my Saturdays so far, but I'm still in the market for another game that could run at a higher level, probably 5+, that would fit my extra time, or would keep me playing if my saturday game ends after this adventure.
Experience:
I played a lot in previous years, but set it aside for a while due to job and family, but have recently picked it up again. My experience is mostly from D&D 3.0/3.5, but I have played some 4.0, 5.0, Cyberpunk, Star Wars, Shadowrun, and White Wolf, with each campaign being a good mix of mechanics and roleplay. I'm really liking 5.0 and want to get more experiences with it. I've done a little in Roll20, but I'm still learning and getting comfortable with online play. I have Discord and Skype if those are prefered over Roll20's video and voice functions.
Campaigns I'm looking for:
I'm looking for games where I can immerse into playing some high fantasy adventure with a variety of themes where characters can develop through challenges. I'm ok with 18+ themes and bad stuff happening (it'd be great to have a group where I don't have to worry about an errant cuss word or two), but I'm trying to avoid super dark or meat grinder campaigns. Roaming around to see the bright and dark spots of a fantasy world would be fantastic, and homebrew or book-modified worlds are very welcome. I like most of the adventure WotC has put out, with the exceptions of Tomb of Annihilation and anything involving Ravenloft. However I'm not interested in west marches, as I've seen such campaigns either become the biggest personality overruling everyone, or try to become "communities" trying to suck in players like an MMO in what feels like a pyramid scheme.
Characters I'm looking to play (Just a long list of example characters, all the important stuff is above):
Not exclusive to these characters, as I often like to fill gaps in a party's resources, but here are some example characters I'd like to play.
Character Name: Lysandra "Lizzy" Starlance
Character Race and Gender: Aasimar Female
Wanted Class and Subclass: Paladin (Oath of Heroes) / Bard (College of Swords)
Character Alignment: Neutral Good
Overview: An idealistic young paladin of a knightly order who ran off before taking her oath, hiding from her previous life by traveling disguised as a wandering performer. She's evading the pressure of expected heroism and noble standing to try living free among regular folk, all the while fearing its all just a temporary reprieve from some enclosing destiny.
Overview: A cynical bounty hunter who's trying to grow past monstrous origins to be a productive lawful member of society, despite a penchant for intimidation and aggressive tactics. Though more than willing to play the part of the bad guy, he hopes to fulfill the role of a lawbringer (think of an old west marshall, but a gnoll). Has a soft spot for kids and happy families, and hopes to reunite with his twin sister who was taken away by an order of monks after a failed raid.
Overview: A willful, free minded Gnoll who was separated from her clan at adolescence by a Monk who wished to prove that her kind could be be instilled with patience and discipline, she herself became a monk seeking to prove that the violent instincts of her background can be channeled into a productive fighting discipline. She is Alpha's twin sister and does not know that he is alive and searching for her.
Overview: An adventurous soul that has romantic leanings toward her patron, who demands of her that she seek out the most exciting experiences for her amusement. She seems more insightful than her years would suggest, due to the benefits of a life rich with travel and culture and a continual curiosity for more. She is more than willing to life half as long as she should if it means that time is twice as eventful.
Character Name: Searing Solomon
Character Race and Gender: Kalashtar Male
Wanted Class and Subclass: Monk (Way of the Sun Soul)
Character Alignment: Chaotic Good
Overview: A monk who lost his way and for a time made his living as a pirate, he made a reputation for himself for being "odd" by showing an unusual perception and fighting abilities. He wanders, not judging people for their choices, but simply absorbing that they are who they are. He can find morality rather subjective, and values experiences over any specific legal tenets.
Character Name: Aveela Yi Shaza
Character Race and Gender: Tiefling (Winged Variant) Female
Wanted Class and Subclass: Paladin (Oath of Vengeance)
Character Alignment: Lawful Good
Overview: A flamboyant and aggressive member of an order of Paladins called "The Helldroppers", she is a punisher of evil who loves dispatching her foes from the sky. She takes a special thrill in wreathing herself in fire, dropping into a dive from high above, screaming vengeance as she unleashes her smite upon impact. When that doesn't fill her time she's generally just sticking her nose in other's business.
Character Name: Nordaine Thundercrash
Character Race and Gender: Goliath (Either)
Wanted Class and Subclass: Fighter (Cavalier)
Character Alignment: Chaotic Good
Overview: A former raider turned adventurer who seeks out battle with incredible foes while seeking to found a unique mount with which to form a strong bond and together craft their legend. A very direct person who doesn't hide much, but is very adamant about protecting companions by dominating the attention of enemies or just charging down any that would dare challenge the party in the first place.
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online (let's face it, right now that's all that can happen) Experience: New (I've played before but it has certainly been a while, I have made a character and can do it again) Location/Timezone: Boise Idaho (mountain time) Availability: Really any time during the day here. Corona has left me going stir crazy and I can't even find a job Preferred role: Player Game style: I'd love to play any adventure in general- will stipulate that I would LIKE to use things like feats and prestige classes (not required, would like though) and I love getting creative, doing things like coming up with new spells. I'm not averse to it being POSSIBLE for characters to die, but I'd rather it not be a regular occurrence (like on critical role- it happens but the DM isn't shooting for that).
I'm an artist so I can potentially make artwork of your characters (if you're willing to write out some detailed descriptions and work with me a little). I'm also willing to teach the DM or any player how to use GIMP to make character/monster sheets that can be modified on the fly.
