I'm an experienced player looking to introduce my friends to D&D.
D&D preferences: Note. As far as I'm aware, we are not interested in games with expected costs to play. - Date: August 13 and Thursdays thereafter weekly seems like the only day we all can play. - Time: Start between 5-8pm Pacific Daylight Time (8-11pm Eastern Daylight Time) and have games run from 3-4 hours long - Starting Level: between 5-10 - Age: We're all 18+ but some of us prefer to not be in an explicit NSFW campaign. - All our characters are spec'd up to Level 10 at least. - None of us own any content on D&DBeyond and would need content share. - All of us are good for Voice chat on Discord and playing on Roll20.
For Myself Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: Several Months Location/Timezone: Pacific Standard Time Availability: Thursdays starting at 5-8pm PST and playing for 3-4 hours. Preferred role: Player Game style preference: Puzzles and Tactical Combat Character: Kobold Beastmaster Ranger/Hexblade Warlock/(Eldritch Knight) Fighter Silverfang (aka SF) was part of a Kobold colony that was vastly overpopulated. Rather than culling the kobolds, however, the dragon whom the colony worshipped created a Grand Arena held every year to cut the population down and keep the masses pleased. Each year, hundreds of Kobolds volunteer, or are selected to participate in a "glorious" free-for-all where the winner gets the most valuable prize ever: the esteem of his colony and being sent out to the world as a capable kobold (aka banishment). Silverfang didn't want to be part of this Grand Arena after someone special to him was sent away to never been seen again. He was selected anyways, due to the numbers of participants being lower. Through cunning, skill, and mostly luck, he was victorious. Now he searches the outside world for the only one who mattered to him, hoping to one day reunite. The memories of seeing his friends and family brutally cut each other down and him having to do the same without hesitation still haunts him.
For First Friend: Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: Completely New Location/Timezone: Pacific Standard Time Availability: See Above Preferred role: Player Game style preference: Standard Character: VHuman Swashbuckler Rogue Tired of his boring life in the city, Yoshitsune joined the army in hopes of finding some excitement in life. He quickly found that the military life was not right for him and turned to adventuring thereafter. He hopes to leave his mark on the world.
For Second Friend: Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: A single practice game Location/Timezone: Eastern Daylight Time Availability: See Above Preferred role: Player Game style preference: Exploration Character: Aarakocra Gloom Stalker Ranger Quincy's home plagued by Talona, his ancestral soul was summoned, bound, so that he could find a cure for the slow rotting of his descendants.
For Fill-in: Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: A few years Location/Timezone: Pacific Standard Time Availability: See Above Preferred role: Player Game style preference: Unknown Character: Either Gnome or Warforged Druid, or a Halfling Barbarian. He is interested in the Warforged Druid's relationship, and for the Halfling Barb, he plans to be a muscular halfling raised by wolves.
Hello I am DM i have prewritten post with some info about my dm style. Its mostly for free pub games as i have to be more selective with players who dont know each other :p but for already established groups its way easier as everyone knows how to get along and already has general idea of how they want to play together. :)
Send me a message if you want to play :) <3
Etiquette :)
Hello I am Cristian I am a near exclusive DM :) as of now my love for writing stories and watching players totally not follow it or follow it still leaves me grinning :) Ive had mixed experience with players :P but ive since learned the errors of my ways thanks to many positive players, :)
I love working with New Players as they have the most complex questions which lead to interesting directions! :)
I like playing with vets as well they tend have the most RP xp and allow for more dramatic or challenging gameplay :D
I am posting this add In hopes to find more players who have a love for D&D similar to the description below :p
Golden Rule:
"Empty Your Cup". - Means: Give up your portion of an ocean of ideas and perspectives as to not interfere with others from the same Ocean...
In other words: Why keep a cup of stagnant water when you can have an infinite amount of freshwater.
!!Suggestions for character optimization or efficiency tips,ONLY IF someone DIRECTLY ASKS YOU FOR ADVICE. (to avoid criticizing someone's character and discouraging fun character class or races they wish to try that suits THEM.)!!
What this looks like, Imagine: Baby#1 who is playing with their ball and got bored. Then begins pestering another baby's, Baby#2, ball when the first baby already has one.
Be more like Baby 2, he gets to keep his ball next week. :) <3

Contentions, (arguments/instance cause by player concerns of the DM style) WILL BE ADRESSED, ONLY if a case is sent Privately to DM, (as to show respect by not breaking other players' moments of suspended reality). I happily admit to my mistakes as it is an opportunity to change into an even better DM. Please approach with peace of mind and the knowledge that the DM will hear you out. I am able to make adjustments and correct inconstancies without batting an eye, I may even apologies for overlooking something, i am Human just like you after all :) <3 .
Meet me halfway: I love compromise! <3 Improvising is not a problem for me, in fact it can be fun sometimes, because sometimes I don't even know what's going to happen! LOL. :o
But I do not depend on it or use it as a crutch :)

When unhappy with a result.
If you feel like something is off about a player or the DM.
STOP. and THINK... of a practical and most basic reason to justify the other person's behavior, FIRST.
Then write down your concern as to not forget the FACTs, we can not argue intention without 3 points to reference. So take accurate notes. make a case. follow your own train of thought. See if it's worth the trouble.
-Then Submit your case, every situation is different and your old enough to read & write.
so please, be patient :). Kindness or indifference makes the rude / disruptive players anxious and uncomfortable. They will out themselves or get bored and leave.
I am Behavior Biologist/psych background.... T.R.U.S.T. M.E. :)
I may even change willing individual's unhealthy behavior into positive more Fulfilling behavior. :) *Fingers Crossed* :)
Come in with an open mind and a Blank Book, Look at every circumstance with the prior experience of OTHER GAMES interfere with a very CLEARL DIFFERENT GAME RAN BY A DIFFERENT GM.
You maybe an expert in lore from a different universe but HERE we always learn how to swim.
Allies:
Attacking PLAYERS for accurately portraying their characters traits, will get a warning from me.
Meta gaming is difficult to avoid. So we have to try are hardest to avoid it. As we all have a natural desire to preserve our characters. I ask you are AWARE and recognize this urge to use player knowledge to give ignorant characters an unnatural advantage. You may make a case as to why your character may have convenient info, but ultimately you may do some sort of INT check if it aligns with your backstory. :)
Have Fun!. If your an NPC doesn't like you, he may look at you and his friend may tell you he does not like you, and may even add to the fact that he doesn't like you either and that their wanted men, and then you cut his arm off if you want. hehehe
Seriously play off each other! give us ridiculous reactions and we will intern make goofy voices and faces back, and That's when, I feel (personally) as a DM, D&D Shines the Brightest :)
Combat-
Combat varies from party to party
Party agreed to play W/
Ex. Of Player set and agreed rules.
No Flanking
DC checks, is BEAT to MEET.
TIE's- players roll a 1d4 and call odds or evens if correct it’s a pass, alternatively it counts as a fail.
GM Hides a classification of Rolls so some players can discover outcomes through DM description.
**PS: I am a curator for Downey art coalition :) which just means professional volunteer lol,**
but The organization is all about bringing art, music, and Literature to kids :) We have a trove of artist and writers constantly creating and providing content for me :)
we play to encourage players to donate as donations will help Purchase Art supplies and NEW instruments!
fun fact: some school are using wind instruments from the 50's!!! sorry that boggles my mind still o.o
any who, ask about the coalition if your looking for some sample or d&d Material.
I sometimes ask at the end of sessions for donations.
I am sorry to say that i do this for the kids, if you have no intention in pitching in, I may notify you, that a player who wants to help the community wants to play. Donating is not a pass to break the rules. I am not allowed to pocket this money, so when you Donate it goes to the supporting young and aspiring artist. Its very awkward to refund donations :.L. as the content is pretty much free and intended for a cause not my DMing services, I have separate details for Private Games {(usually) on weekends Saturday and Sundays}. (Inquires only)
In a private scenario, My Standards are malleable and up to the Private Party how they want games to ran. If I am unable to complete a session you would receive a full refund for obvious reasons. :)
