So recently (as with all the free time on our hands), I had re-watched some episodes of Critical Role from both campaigns and the Darrington Brigade one-shot they did!
I laughed, I cried, but mostly I laughed and it made me think about all the silly character ideas I have had as a player that I've never really used because they didn't fit the overall image of a party for a long-term campaign.
Then I started thinking about it and thought why couldn't I (since I am very familiar with the Wildemount Sourcebook and am actually currently running a game in that world) make a community (similar to a west marches game) where players who are members of the brigade or at least trying to be can go on adventures together to spread the reknown of the Darrington Brigade!
So here's the basis of the idea.
Think west marches but without most of the exploration and focusing more on the hilarity of the stories of working for a "non-profit" adventuring group! Players would level up over time as they went on adventures and eventually (after everyone starts at level 1) become high level adventurers and be broken up into tiers! I would be looking for GMs and Players that would be interested in running one-shots or two-shots for the adventuring group and the stories would all be shared collectively as everyone would be part of the same brigade!
