New player looking into first experiance

Hello eveyone,

I've been looking into trying out D&D for the first time in my life. It's always been something on the bucket list of sorts but I've never came across any one in my local area that has any interest. Now with the wonder of the internet, I'm trying my hand at it online to see if it bares better fruit!

I'm 30+ and would prefer a more relaxed atmosphere to start of with as I'll more than likely be knawing the ears off people trying to get to grips with rules etc. I live in Scotland so it would be GMT time I'd be working off of. I also have to note that my job is as a merchant sailor so times for play would have to have  a small degree of flexibility.

Very much hope to have some success, will be looking into getting a webcam picked up for sessions if/when I have something solid lined up. Thanks for reading!
