Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: Casual players for 1-2 years Location/Timezone: EST/CST Schedule: Any day but Friday, flexible as to timeframe Roles sought: DM and/or existing small group Game style: We're all more casual players with a middling understanding of the rules who are used to DMs that focus more on story and fun and are not opposed to flexing the rules when needed in favor of that.
We're a group of friends looking to enjoy a short online campaign to help get us through quarantine! We're all prepared to commit to a short campaign (one-to-two months at most), but can't commit to anything beyond that since we don't know what our schedules will be when quarantine lifts. Right now we're open to any day other than Friday, would be up for playing once or twice a week, and are pretty flexible with the time frame.
Two of us have played together before and are in the EST and are friends with the third who plays in the CST. One of us is familiar with playing online through Roll20 and Discord, and the other two are prepared to learn!
We've all played casually for fun and have a middling-to-decent understanding of the rules, but we're also used to DMs who use the rules more as guidelines in favor of letting us think outside the box, especially when it lends to more humorous results. We'd love to find a DM and/or existing small group we could join that plays in a similar fashion, regardless of experience!
Hey guys, I'm Hayden! I am looking to create a short online campaign of a module you guys would like! For a few months during the shelter-in-place, I would recommend playing Lost Mines of Phandelver, but if you guys find a more appealing module I'd love to run that for you guys! I am 18 and in college, but I have a passion for teaching DND, I have experience DMing both online and in person, and in these campaigns I've taken players from level 1 all the way to level 10. If you guys are interested, I would love to have you all as players in a group! We also seem to have the same aspirations- the rules being guidelines and having a lighthearted, fun game!
Also, just as a fair warning, I do charges for games. However this fee is extremely low compared to some other ones you will find out there (some charge $10 per session while others can even charge $20), I'm looking to do $5 per session. This helps me out as I'm a broke college kid trying to get money, and I would be using a lot of time and resources to teach you guys!
You might ask, "Well Hayden, what do you have to bring to the table that other DM's, who charge for free, can't offer?" Well to that I say that's a great question. I have the legendary bundle, which will be shared via content sharing, I have years of invaluable experiences, including "Do's and Don'ts", resources on how to make characters personal and unique, tons of 'roleplay lessons' (which would be free to take once you start playing), I'm a current Theatre (acting) major, and I also have created my own homebrewed world.
If you guys are still interested, send me a message on my discord! It's ImYourThirdDad#4852
We are currently chatting with others who reached out first, but we'll definitely keep this reply handy and reach out if those games don't pan out. Thanks again!
I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon and am trying to find an open spot. I haven't played in a few years, but we all obviously have more free time now with everything going on. Would appreciate a heads up if you happen to have an open spot.
Thanks, punkbunny419@gmail.com

Hello,
