Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: 3 years as a DM in multiple campaigns online and IRL Location/Timezone: US / Eastern Schedule: Thursdays 7:00 - 11:00 Eastern Time Roles sought: 4-5 players, new players preferred Game style: Good mix of combat, RP, exploration. Hoping to give some new players a chance to try out D&D.
Hello! I am going to be running the Lost Mine of Phandelver campaign on Roll20 starting Thursday 5/14. The campaign should last a few months and will be played weekly. This is a game I like to run at least once a year to give back to the community and introduce new players to the game, although all are welcome to apply. I have introduced a few new players to D&D through Roll20 and think it's a great system to learn on. I make as much use of the cool tools as I can like dynamic lighting, the jukebox, etc. to give players a full experience. We will use Discord for voice chat and I ask that players have a decent quality microphone and a Roll20 account (free).
In my opinion this short campaign is among the best that have been published for 5e. It is a really great introduction to the many different parts of D&D. I am looking for new players who are willing to role-play and be part of a team. If you're interested, you can see a lot more info about the campaign and the application thread here. I kindly ask that you read that stuff and take the time to follow the instructions if you want to be considered. Please do not PM me or reply to this thread with an application, but if you have questions let me know!
I'll start getting in touch with people at the end of next week. There are usually a lot of apps for this kind of thing so I may also do some quick discord calls to get a final group together. I will say please make sure you read all the info and include all the details being asked on the application. I'll post some updates once I start assembling the party!
Hi I saw in roll20 that there were a lot of people in the sine up section for your campaign so is it safe to say it’s unlikely that if I sign up I’d be in the campaign?

I mean the roll20 campaigns like this always have a lot of apps in my experience but I wouldn't let that discourage you! I will say that if you read the info and follow the format in the application that will already put you above about half the applications just with that lol. Especially if you are a new player looking to tell a fun story together I encourage you to apply.
Ty for the quick reply the only thing I need to know before I apply is am or pm I live in Australia so that’s 12 hour difference I’m on holiday till June so I could get up at 7-11am on Wednesday for a bit assuming u meant 7-11pm if you meant am Terrific otherwise I couldn’t make the time when I have to go back to work I like D&D but unless you change the time I can’t commit long-term sorry also Bananas

It would be 7 PM Eastern time unfortunately, timezones are always the kicker. Well I appreciate the interest and good luck finding something!
Last call for applications, I will be closing the thread either tonight or tomorrow morning and starting to reach out to folks to chat on Discord. Feel free to apply with the link in the original post and let me know if you have questions!
If it's not too late I'd love to join! I am a new player but am quick to learn. I have way to much free time on my hands. Living in PST discord is forestnympha#3749
