Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: Mostly experienced players and veterans, with some newbies Location/Timezone: California (PST / -8) Schedule: Monday Evenings Roles sought: DM Game style: Roleplay heavy, prefer a healthy balance between story and gameplay.
Hey there! We're a small group of players who've been playing together since last Fall(2019), with a core of 4-6 players of varying levels of experience. We just wrapped up an Avernus campaign, but our current DM has had to step down due to personal reasons. We'd like to continue with our current characters, which are currently lv7, and currently do not have any preference for module or even homebrew settings, though we would potentially be open to a fresh campaign as well. We tend to go heavy on roleplay, and a healthy balance of gameplay and story is preferred.
We use Discord for communication and play through Roll20. If you would like more information, or would be interested in our group, please respond with a brief introduction and your Discord ID, so that we may discuss this in more detail.
I've had my in-person campaign end, as online play wouldn't work out for some of my players. I've been playing for about 9 years, and DMing for 6 of those years. All of my game play has been table top. We were in the middle of the lost mines campaign from the starter set since all but one player was new. I have made an account on roll20 and started to set up a campaign and poke around. My last group wasn't very heavy on RP or grinding combat, but focused on having a good time. I prefer a more RP heavy game myself, but don't care for some of the more tedious parts such as exact carry weight, or punishing my players for not saying "I collect my arrows after the fight". I've DMed many campaigns and I try as hard as I can to deliver what my players want, over what I think is best. I usually allow anything from unearthed arcana, and I don't mind changing something mid campaign. For example I've had a campaign where the players didn't care for the setting and one player didn't care for his character which had reasons to not leave until their business was done. I worked with that player to trap the other players and send them through a portal to another world. They then had a new character rolled up that jointed the party and we ran the Waterdeep heist. The players spent months working towards returning and getting revenge on the PC that betrayed them.
I'm open to running where you all left off, but if you wanted to run another campaign I own most of the 5e books, and I'm willing to buy them on roll20/d&d beyond.
Also I'm from Northern California, but I'm in Oregon now so same time zone!
Message me for my Discord if you wanna talk about setting up a game
