I am a 22-year-old DM looking for a group of players to run with my world that I have been creating. It is a campaign with an end goal. It has been designed that the party can play through and if they want to continue playing, the world would allow that. The sessions would be once a week once we all agree on a time or majority do. I'm looking for the kind of people that aren't afraid to roleplay or have a good time. Everyone is welcome, but I can only pick up to 5. In your comment, I want two things; first, what do you want when you play D&D and what would you be most excited for in my campaign world. Setting: The Solarian Realms – A country heavily inspired by celestial bodies and astrology. It is a vast country with unique and diverse cities and landscapes.
Hardware: Webcams are preferred as they make it a lot easier to RP, convey emotion, and communicate. (However, they are not required)

Intro: 

The Solarian Realms were formed with a peace treaty after the War of the Eclipsed. The war took place almost 300 years ago because of clashing religious beliefs. The war was started on the day of an eclipse, after many months, it ended on an eclipse. The small surrounding regions that had teamed together had taken the eclipses as a sign of fortune and their beliefs, thus forming the Solarian Realms. 

Now, most of the region follows the belief of higher celestial beings, that the sun, moon, and stars all have their own powers. However, the country is very adamant about allowing other worship within its borders. Since its founding, the country has almost doubled in size, absorbing small neighboring countries with the promise of protection and peaceful times ahead. In this process, the country has a wide array of races and ethnicities with about 50% of the population being human with various amounts of other races being concentrated in regions. This has made The Solarian Realms very diverse in cultures and demographics. Now, almost 300 years later, The Solarian Realms have become a major power and trading hotspot, not being a part of conflict since the War of the Eclipsed. But all peace ends eventually as another power is starting to stir within its borders that will change everything.

-Was introduced to DnD about 5 years ago, stepped away for about 2yrs now and looking to get back into it.  Had a few one-shots with IRL friends, and always wanted to get back into it but didn't have the time.

What do I want when I play DnD? - I'm looking to create a friendship with new people, help create and take part in a brand new story.
What am I most excited for in your campaign? - I think the religion dynamic could make for some great conflict.  The fact that peace has been the culture for 300yrs would tell me that the region must be at a boiling point and when it reaches it's limit could mean chaos and trouble all over flipping people's worlds upside down.

Schedule- Ideal start time for a Tues-Thurs session would be 7pm(EST)
My first choice character would be a Dragonborn Fighter but I am open to other options
Campaign Theme - I'd like to be apart of a Hero Themed Campaign(Not interested in a evil group)
Playstyle - I like a balance of RP, Combat, and Exploration - sometimes the story calls for one aspect to be favored more than the others but throughout the entire time it's fairly balanced.

What do I want when I play DnD? - I want to be able to immerse myself in a fantasy setting and have adventures while making new friends along the way. I want to be able to become so attached to my character and the characters of my party members so that I can be invested in our fates and the effect it has on the world around us. I also want to kill bad guys and get loot. I'm only human.
What am I most excited for in your campaign? -  I'm mostly excited about jumping into a fleshed out world with ample opportunities to forge our own path and uncover plots and intrigue. A major conflict on the horizon and an impending big bad to vanquish seems like the kind of experience I got into tabletop to have in the first place.

What do I want when I play Dnd? Other than having a good time, I really love being able to open up and enjoy new experiences that take me outside of my comfort zone in an enjoyable way such as roleplaying and immersing myself in fantasy worlds.  I've always loved fantasy and getting to play around in those kinds of universes is super fun.  Making friends and sharing a love of Dnd with others is always something I'm looking for.

What am I most excited about in your campaign? The concept of the formation and conflict of the Solarian Realms seems SUPER interesting and fleshed out.  It sounds like it leaves a lot of room for mystery from both the heavens and this impending conflict that sound wildly fun to potentially get involved in.  This is a world I could get really invested in!

What do I want when i play DnD? I enjoy putting myself into the shoes of my character and encountering situations that put them to the test. I enjoy interacting with other players/characters and building relationships with them while adventuring.

What am I most excited for in your campaign? It sounds like it is not just a sandbox sort of situation, but a setting that already has a story built into it. Possibly even one that has a definite beginning, middle, and end. It feels like there is the opportunity to make choices that will have real consequences and possibly involve some challenging ethical choices. I like the potential mystery included in the statement "another power is starting to stir within its borders."

What do I want when I play DnD?: When playing DnD I really love playing a character that I can somewhat identify with, but is very clearly different from myself. I want to enjoy myself through this other perspective in a world that is imaginative and perilous, if not vicious. I love to experience the process of unraveling the developing narrative of a world I'm immersed in and using my own wits and my character's capabilities/prowess to work with like-minded individuals in righting the wrongs of the world or just making it a better place. 

What am I most excited for in your campaign? Rebellion or general collapse of a lasting nation is an extremely interesting setting to be dropped into, especially when it is one as described by yourself as being one of many cultures, species, and races. Old grudges reemerge between these groups and turn trouble into chaos in a flash, furthering the issue, making it more complicated to deal with and opening up the collapsing country for outer influences to intervene even further.

PS I am a very visually attuned person with a strategic mind when it comes to combat, having a battlemap is a colossal plus for me, I can do without it and deal with theater of mind combat but it would be a very big negative in my experience.

What do I want when I play DnD? Our main aim is to simply have some fun possibly creating powerful characters with great flavour. I really like being as free as possible, however, being part of an epically narrated tale would be amazing so that most of the time I do prefer to follow the path that the DM

What am I most excited for in your campaign? I know that it's not the greatest reason, but since we really love roleplaying and DnD, we just want to play with someone. The melting pot you described is extremely interesting especially for us since we love using monstrous race and flavorful, but particular, classes.

Why do I want to play DnD? Dnd has been a major part of my life these past few years. It’s not only a way to make new friends and explore new worlds, but also a way to learn, grow, and partake in new experiences from the comfort of my home. The immersion that comes from TTRPG’s cannot be beat by any video game. And neither can the journey the party undertakes. 

What am I most excited about in your campaign? Well, apart from the fact that you have a whole World Anvil thing dedicated to it full of lore, I am incredibly fascinated by the use of astrology and celestial bodies. It’s rare you come across a game that focuses on those aspects as a whole and that is intriguing. Homebrew worlds and the people that create them are impressive. I would love the change to explore your world, uncover its mysteries, lend a hand in its conflicts, and become a integral member of a new party. Also, I second the search for loot :)

Why do I want to play DnD? I have been playing multiple dnd sessions weekly for the past 4 years so it has become something im very passionate about. I love going on adventures with a party who really gets into character with epic fights and mysteries.

Why Do I Want to Play D&D? Where do I start? The friendships, the story, the creativity, the immersion? I like campaigns that are pretty combat-heavy, like 50% combat, but I'd surely get bored with a campaign that was all combat, because the combat is supposed to facilitate an ongoing story. I concur with the above post talking about the superiority of D&D over video games. :)

What Am I Most Excited About in Your Campaign? I generally prefer homebrew settings where I can experience the DM's creativity over something like Forgotten Realms. The astronomy-based religious context is intriguing, enough that I would probably want to play a character concept who follows that religion.

What are you excited for in my campaign?

Being in a world that you have spent alot of time creating gives us the opportunity to experience it. Being immersed into the world allows us to develop our characters through quests and adventures. Finding out mysteries and endulging into the lore and story makes it more realistic. Having 300 years of peace, some people must be rising to stop it. Pandamonium must be on the horizon. Can't wait!

I love to escape the mundane day to day and immerse myself in a world of fantasy and adventure. I am still a theatre kid at heart and I love getting into character and role playing for a rousing battle or an investigation of intrigue or a simple night at the tavern.

What would you be most excited for in my campaign world?

I've been a DM for a lot of my 5e experience, and I love the creative aspect of it, The standard settings are cool and all, but I love to see how myself and others can re-imagine the worlds and put their own unique spin on them. The way you describe your setting as a sort of fought for utopia on the verge of re-emerging conflict sounds ripe for role playing and surprise twists.

Hello, I go by my first name Tally (he/his) and I'm located in the CT timezone.  I am a relatively new player with only 7 sessions of experience before Covid happened.  I have been searching for a game for some time, and I could easily make any time work on those days.

Why Do I Want to Play D&D? I want to lean into a campaign that has a great story to interact with while working closing with a team of different characters to strategically defeat anyone who crosses our way.  I enjoy it when a plan comes together, but I also love to watch the impossible stunt happen at risk of danger at the right moments.

What Am I Most Excited About in Your Campaign? I am most excited to play in a campaign that will most likely include gods and uprooting a secret organization.  I have only played as the fighter class to this point, so I would love any chance to play as a spell caster.  I enjoy having moments of laugh, but I like to take the game seriously and try to play in character if possible (I'm still inexperienced).

I find a lot of thrill in exploring a story, as well as exploring a world, its inhabitants, my fellow party members' characters, and our clashes with the main conflict. I spend a lot of my idle time thinking about my games and what may possibly happen in them, and I tend to write a lot of homebrew content (though, I enjoy keeping things vanilla just as much as I enjoy playing with entirely new custom-built spells and classes).

Specifically what I enjoy about D&D so much is that you can have so many memorable experiences. When I meet a new D&D player, I feel like a glorified veteran sharing thrilling war-stories, albeit with the chaotic twist that is 5e's magic system. I love that feeling.

As for the other things which you mentioned on your post, which are worth addressing (also, because others are doing it):
- I've never played D&D with a webcam before, but I have no problem doing so. I think it'll be exciting.
- My schedule is very open right now, so I can make any of those days work.

When I play DnD I’m looking for a good time with combat and roleplay. I love roleplaying with a good group. I just like playing with people who can have fun but also can stay on track when needed. 

What I think I can contribute to the campaign is a character that is fun and also is for the party. I mostly play bards because of my roleplaying love, but I do not play them for constant seducing of people, but more for different reasons. I am a team player at heart so I don’t mind doing whatever the party may need.

I am mostly excited to see how I can immerse my character with the world while staying towards their goal. I really like the world building that I’ve seen so far so I would love to see what more this campaign has to offer.
