The continent of Thelmsper is on the brink of all-out war. 

This has almost always been true, but the current political climate is one of constant turmoil. The civil war being fought in Khophate has absorbed most of King Bloodkith’s attention as he plays cat-and-mouse with his disowned son’s forces. Rumors of revolution in plague-striken Cipan Province occupy his spymasters. 

In the North, the creatures of the Silent Wilds cut their teeth on Khophate flesh with every fresh push to breach the wall of trees and thorns that guard the ancient forests. Along the southern border of Khophate the Imperial forces are locked in constant battle with the armies of the Miryan Nation and the Norvradaer Kingdom. Despite their mutual enemy, even the once-friendly Miryan and Norvradaer families have become strained. Even the Tragadoj Realms know no peace, though their superior naval fleet has repelled every attack by Khophate, or by rogue pirates, thus far. 

In the Old Roads, rumors are always circulating about assasination plots, malicious spells, and the true origins of the current plague in Cipan. Even the thieves of the Guild seem to be under a strange pall, taking no credit for any but the smallest crimes as of late.

About Me:

• I have been playing DnD for about 5 years now, though I dabbled in earlier versions when I was younger. I also have experience with Shadowrun.
• I am an enby lesbian, and would prefer to play with other LGBTQIA individuals, though no one will be kept out for that reason.
• I am about to turn 29, and would prefer to play with people around my age. No one under the age of 21, please, it makes me uncomfortable to play certain themes with underage folks.
• I am the type of DM that values story over rules. If you want to do something that would create an awesome story, but conflicts with the rules, nine times out of ten I'm going go with whatever makes the best story. 
• That being said, I try really hard not to railroad people in this world I've made, but if your character doesn't fit into the context of the world-building, I may make some suggestions for how to integrate them better. This has only happened once in the 5 games I've run in this world, everything else has been able to slot right in after some fiddling on my part to open the world up for that character.

About the World:

• Thelmsper is home to 6 above-ground countries, and an expansive underground ancient kingdom that is now home to all manners of dark creatures and characters of ill-repute. Each country has its own politics and ambitions, and is ruled by one of 6 ancient dwarf families. The Old Roads, the ancient kingdom, has no ruler.
• Dwarves make up the main population of Thelmsper. Humans are one of the newest, and rarest, forms of life to this continent. As such, they are treated in equal turns with disdain, distrust, and dismissal. 
• Outside of Cipan and the Silent Wilds, magic is uncommon, but not unheard of.
• Most half-breed citizens have at least one dwarven parent, but other types of half- children are not unheard of. Most of these mixed souls are treated similarly to humans.
• The Silent Wilds are home to a unique race of half-firbolg, half-dwarven people called Dirlwigs. The royal family has blended with the firbolgs in this way, and as such, is not recognized by other dwarf royalty any longer.
• There's much much more! I love talking about this world, and more information will be provided to those interested in joining.

The Game:

• This will take place over discord and, occasionally, Roll20
• I have an audio processing disorder and a speech impediment, and prefer to play over text throughout the week, but if those who join would rather play once a week over voice chat, we can try that out.
• Everyone would start at level 2.
• I have the adventure hook, and will work together with you to craft an individual hook to get your character involved in the story.
• I'm looking for a max of 5 players, and may have one lined up already, meaning there are 4 slots open at this time.

This sounds interesting and i would love to join.  A lot of games lately that I have gotten into I have not been able to really RP.  I have Major social Anxiety and often times over coms will go silent when in a group.  Playing more by Text, although sometimes slows the session down will give me the opportunity to actually shine and RP.

I am on the east coast and am mostly available Thursday nights after 9pm and then Friday and Saturday after 8pm.  With you leaning more towards text base that does open my schedule up more so as I can multi-task more effectively with text than coms.

Above is a link to my LFG post from yesterday. Your setting sounds very interesting and definitely caught my interest. Most of my info is on the post, but please feel free to send me a message if you think that I'd be able to jump in.

Experience: Few years as a player in other tabletop games, few years as a DM in D&D 5e. I don't actually have a ton of experience being a player in D&D, but I know the rules well from DMing, so it shouldn't be an issue. Trying to avoid being a forever DM with these online games.
