Hi! I speak for a group of 4 friends, new to D&D who need a decent DM for our first full campaign. Most of us have characters, most have played at least a little before. Still could use refreshing tips. Looking for weekly sessions, evenings and weekends pref. All 21+. All avid gamers of all kinds. Thanks for considering, we look forward to meeting you, new friend.
I've got tons of hours on D&D 5e, which is what I'm assuming you want a GM for (considering D&D Beyond forum). I've also gotten pretty used to GMing for my friends, we've got a good 20 sessions in during a Homebrew Campaign I whipped up. I'd love to be considered to run for you guys (as more D&D is always a plus). I just have a few questions to see if your group and I would mesh in terms of what we expect from D&D.
1) What type of campaign are you guys looking for? Do you already have a campaign setting in mind, do you prefer a specific canon setting? Or would you want to do a homebrew setting?
2) Do you want combat heavy dungeon-crawlers, social/intrigue/mystery campaign, or more traditional adventuring?
3) What are you comfortable with in terms of D&D material? AL rules ({PHB+1) or something more free and open? (This isn't a question of what do you own on Beyond as I actually own almost all of the classes and races here and can share that with a campaign)
4) What times would you be looking at? I know you said weekly evening (with weekend days preferred) but do you have any ranges set up? I myself have a game every week that starts around 4:30-6:30/7-30 on Saturdays (though my Sunday is completely open and I could definitely run a Friday night game at the moment).
Yes, we want someone for 5e. As far as campaigns, this would be a first for everyone, so probably something standard. We have no specifics, but could decide together.
I am open to a mix of combat and adventures. Social is cool too now and again. Id be curious to hear about "mystery campaigns" as well. We could again decide as a group what fits us and you best.
We are mostly new to D&D as a whole. A few of us with almost no experience. Several have made characters and I've played a couple hour sessions a while back with a friends total homebrew get-up. It would be a learning process, fun to experiment with, we're more than eager to learn.
Friday nights or Sunday evenings could end up being a good time. Again, we may have to decide as a larger group for exact times. We are all US EST.
If you'd consider talking with the group, we'd love to invite you to a new discord server to figure some things out. I appreciate your response and interest.
Hi, I just saw your post. I would love to DM for your group too and my timings are quite flexible since I'm on a semester break.
I have a bit of experience with DnD and am quite a chill DM who allows players to do crazy things ^_^.
Sadly, most of the campaigns which I have are homebrewed (but not too vivid or weird or out the world) but I am completely comfortable with doing a premade campaign as well.
I'd also be interested in running a game for you and your crew. I'd be happy to help any newer or inexperienced players learn the ropes. would you be open to a paid DM service? I offer to run games for a modest contribution made through paypal or *****. I am very flexible so should easily be able to accommodate your groups schedule. I am an enthusiastic, creative, and respectful DM and my main goal is to ensure that all players can have a fun time in an environment they feel comfortable expressing themselves.
I ask for no commitment, nor should you feel any obligation to continue, and the first session, including character building is free, always.
my discord is DMDV#2484 and you can email me directly at DungeonGeneralDM@gmail.com if you'd prefer. I look forward to hearing from you, and I hope you find a game!
