I am looking for a group to run some 5e with. I’ve been playing for couple of years now as both a player and a DM (for one campaign that never finished). I have a relatively solid understanding of the rules but have been prone to a few lapses in memory.
I have no preference on being a player or a DM.
As DM I would probably either run a module (I have access to both Curse of Strahd and the Ice Spire Peak campaigns, and don’t mind getting others), or a one shot at first. Pending how long the group runs/meshes, might throw in some homebrew stuff. I like to use a good mix of RP and combat. I normally give room for “rule of cool” but will default to the rules as written.
As a player, I do not have a preference for Combat/RP/Puzzle style. I have a few characters I’d like to run, but don’t mind coming up with something on the fly to fill a spot.
If there is interest you can message me here, or on discord (APie2TheFace#3503)
I've only played one practice session as a DM, but I want to do a campaign as a player. I am fairly familiar with most of the rules since I've been a DM, but I'll probably keep my PHB handy. I would really like to be a player. I have one character I've created, and I'm pretty much up for anything in-game. You'll just have to be very patient for me.
Not a problem, bud. Like I said, I have no problem DMing and I am knowledgeable enough to help learn. Plus, I have limited experience so will need a little bit of patience, too.
Hi. I'm looking to find a game to play. I'm really new to this but reading the books and supplements everyday to get ready. I'm good to play nearly every night.
You see, having new people is nice for me, because when I make a mistake no one knows enough to call me on it. I have no problem helping you learn. Like I said in the updated post, we've got 2 other players (If Huntr3s5 is still down). If you have a discord you can add me as a friend (APie2TheFace#3503)
Sounds interesting. I am interested in playing or I have been preparing Waterdeep dragon heist for some friends. I have the game in roll 20 and have textured battle maps. If all goes well, if I was to DM, I could expand into under mountain. Also, I have most of the core books on roll20 (MM, DMG, PHB, VGTM, XGTE, MTOF). That helps with monsters stats and character creation for rolls. Might make life easier regardless who runs it.
Full disclosure, this is my first hard cover. All of my DM experience is running AL Modules. That being said, I could step in with some one shots I ran at my local game store, if I end up being a player, and you need a week break or would like to play for whatever reason.
Lastly, I have hoard of the dragon queen on dnd beyond that I haven’t read yet and the ability to share it and all my other content (same as above but also includes SCEG)
Well, which is your preference? I can do either, but I am very inexperienced as a DM. I've only run Strahd for a few months before it fell apart. That being said, I also know what its like being the DM and just wanting to play.
Im good both ways. This campaign is only up to level five. It should take around 40 hours to complete. If you want to run Strahd then I am super down to play too. Otherwise we can roll for it.

I'm interested. I just found out about dnd beyond and roll 20. I'm excited to get back into D&D.

I am pretty prepared to run and you would be a week or two behind my other game meaning you should get a more polished product.
We can decide once we bring the group together. So far we are looking at DM and 4 players. I would like 1 more player to round it out.
