I am 35 and currently looking to join a campaign. I have been DMing sessions for over the last year and a half. IT is fun but I am really interested in playing a character that doesn't die or sits in town. You other DM's know what I am talking about. I am available Thursday nights starting at 9pm EST/EDT and Friday nights starting at 8pm. Alas this Friday the 31st of July due to pre-scheduled events i will not be available after midnight.
I am good with either homebrew worlds and pregen campaigns as I have not played any of them, though keep in mind that I am currently running my first pregen which is the Ghosts of Saltmarsh. If you are looking for a player that has no familiarity to the campaign then I would not be a good fit with this one though I would love the opportunity to see how other run this campaign. I have been playing DnD off and on over the last couple decades. Yet with all that time I still find that I am learning things about the game.
I also suffer from high anxiety and as such new groups can be a bit much on me. I would like to have a chance to meet everyone prior to starting either as a session 0 or as a gathering on coms. I am looking for a group that is laid back and easy to get along with. I would also like a mature group, I realize age does not always represent maturity. As such I am not putting an age range on the group but I would ask that the group be a collective that does not take pc actions personal, can have fun, and knows how to joke around when the time is right to do so. This is a game that is meant to be fun and I want everyone involved having fun. Yes I am quite fine with shenanigans and silly antics along the way. Character development is a big part of how I play both in combat as well as out of combat. So I am also looking for a campaign that gives a healthy balance between combat and the ability to really get into character and rp. Playing on the characters personalities and skills.
I have a couple character concepts ready to go though I am more than willing to develop a character that fits the parties needs as well.
If I sound like a good fit for your campaign, please respond here or send me a direct message. Thank you in advance.
edit: I am good with both Avrae through discord as well as roll20. I should also mention that I have a little one and a small house so there can be some background noise at times.
If we could find a DM and a couple of other players, we could get a game going, I think our wants and game styles match up, lol. I applied for the Tyranny of Dragons campaign someone is trying to get off the ground, but let me know if you need me to fill out a group. :)

I down as well. Me and my wife are looking for a group to play. Time looks like something that will work for us. If we could find a DM we could get something going
Add me on discord. We're starting a streamed game here soon :) All three of you are welcome! Just send me who you are on here so I can connect you all. I'll need answers to the following questions here in a DM too please!
1. What is your location? I don't need an exact location, but at least a state.
2. What day, Monday through Wednesday, works best for you?
3. Are you comfortable talking in front of people, and do you have any theater experience?
4. What kind of character prefer/want to play? Give as many details as you can, including personality and traits. (Please keep in mind that you may not be playing this exact character in this campaign.)
5. List some campaigns goals, both ones you've had in the past and ones you would want in the future and whether you successfully accomplished them or if you failed or changed them.
6. Has your character ever died (not just downed)? What happened, and what was the outcome?
7. What was the best part of your last campaign?
8. What is one thing you would change about your last DM?
9 What streams, youtube campaigns, or dnd related podcasts do you enjoy?
10. What are some of you favorite and least favorite homebrew rules?
I am willing to DM on Thursday evenings. 9:00 PM EST would work best for me and I can typically do 3-4 hour sessions, depending on how long the players want.
I've run several campaigns in the past, and I typically go from a pre-made setting (for example; Dragon of Icespire Peak) and then form further adventuring into a homebrew campaign in that same world after we have established characters and relationships better.
I adjust gameplay to ensure there is a challenge, so player character death is a possibility, but I will do what I can to avoid as much. However, I am not a miracle DM that allows players to make deliberately foolish decisions without consequences. (i.e. "Let's go fight an Ancient Dragon at 3rd Level!" or "I kill the Merchant and take all his items for free.")
I am willing to work with any character alignment players desire, but we need to understand the difference between helping the party and hurting the party. The easiest way to explain this is Chaotic Evil vs. Chaotic Stupid and Lawful Good vs. Lawful Stupid.
I typically try to avoid more Mature themes and language, but will acknowledge its existence. Just because the character is sleeping with a whore doesn't mean I'll be describing it in detail.
If you have a question, feel free to voice it. This is a story based game that everyone takes part in, and it works best when everyone gives input!

Thank you for the offer but I clearly stated that I was looking for Thursday or Friday. Monday through Wednesday is neither of which.
@Hurdinator, I sent you a pm.
Yes I also understand that the @ does nothing special here BTW
So sorry, I didn't see that!
