Hey everyone. I am a European player who will be DM'ing for the first time. I have created a world that I want some players to play in. I currently have 2 players in it, and would like 2-3 more. Here is some information about the campaign.
A new region had been discovered 150 years ago by explores, who dubbed the continent, Kolmona. Conquering the land from its previous inhabitants, a kingdom was formed. Bringing word to the other regions, the kingdom began to expand to more of the continent, which was separated from the rest of the world. With the land newly conquered, many places has yet to be discovered, and the land hasn't been fully inhabited yet. Only a few major cities have been made, with several villages still expanding. Many adventurers come to explore under the kings name, and many people come to flourish in this new land in one way or another, with more still coming.
The region consist of mainly the humans, elves, and orcs. Though many other races appear as well.
Humans.
The humans have many relations outside of the Kolmona continent. Using these relations they are able to gather intel, wares and food. While the Kolmona continent has plenty of bounty and rich earth, alot of it is under the orcs territory, and the humans are unable to use that earth. The humans have eons worth of wisdom, and thus have expertise in any area. Humans are especially proficient in magic. The capitol of the Kolmona kingdom has a vast library full of knowledge and magic. They share this library with their allies, the Alsteid. In history, the humans are portrayed as a glorious kingdom. Having done great things. The human king is also the king of Kolmona. A direct descendant of the royal line.
Elves.
The elves were the first major race inhabiting the region of Kolmona. Already having established cities and a deep history. Their technology is impressive, and they are one with the nature around them. Mostly consisting of druids, rangers and barbarians, but they also have a few more unique roles and working classes. When the humans invaded the land, the elves were split on how to deal with them. One side wanted to learn from the humans and ally with them, and the other wanted to push them off and send them back where they came. The side with the humans came to be known as the Alsteid, and the side against the humans became known as the Malvard. Eventually, through disagreement, a war broke out between the two sides, with the Malvard losing. Being banished to the wilderness where the foul creatures lived. Since then, the sides have been separate and have not battled each other. The Alsteid remained allies with the humans, and even joined in political power with the humans.
Orcs
The orcs are the other main race of the Kolmona continent. Living primarily in the eastern region next to the Black Mountain. The orcs and the elves have always fought each other for territory, and the owners of the land always shifted. But since the humans arrived and allied with the elves, the orcs have rescinded to their side. Now no longer of equal terms with the elves, they have been relegated into hiding. The orcs were masters of steel, having Kolmonas biggest iron mine inside the Black Mountain. The orcs are rarely seen outside their territory, and when they are they only appear with basic clothes and weaponry. Some think the tales of the iron giants are just a myth, though the elves always say otherwise. Though another myth that even the elves are unsure of, is of the Black giant. An orc that was twice the size of a normal orc, and instead of the grey colored armor, it was pitch black. The myth tells the armor would never scratch. Nothing could ever beat it. But as myths go, no evidence of this has ever come to light.
Halflings, half elves, half orcs, and more.
As part of the migration to the continent, other races joined too. Though not in as great numbers as the humans. Even 100 years after the continent was discovered by the humans, more are still coming to Kolmona to live in its vast riches of nature. Getting to know each other, the humans developed romance with the elves, and unorthodoxly, the orcs too, and their offspring becoming a mix of their species. Though these mixed races were not all too common as of yet, they have been accepted into their society, though some still don't agree with mixing species like this. Those who are not of the 3 main races, carry various different skills and knowledge where they are from.
This is the general information around the campaign. There is more ofcourse, but that is something to be dealt with inside the campaign.
The requirements are as follows:
Must have mic and webcam. I want to hear and see you.
Everything will happen on Discord, Roll20, and D&D Beyond.
Have an available schedule to play once every week. If you already know this might be tricky for you, don't bother asking to join.
Don't argue with the DM. I may be new to DM'ing, but it's still my ruling. Talk to me between sessions if you have an issue.
Bring a smile to the games :) It's just a game, and I want everyone to enjoy themselves.
If you want to join this, send me a message on discord(Hasax#8516). I will take the first 2 or 3 that I think would work well with what I have. This thread will close once I found the last member.
Hope you want to join, and have fun with us :)
