Hey! Having trouble getting your group together or looking for a new one? Come play with us!
My name is Scuzzlebutt, GM, (obviously not my birth name and props if you know whats it's from) and I'm looking to start playing out a campaign I have been working on for some time. I have 5+ years of dnd/tabletop gaming experience including GMing several different campaigns. I approach the game with the belief that dnd is group storytelling. The GM is (mostly) responsible for big picture events in that story and the players narrate how their characters respond to those situations. With that in mind, my minimum expectation of a player is to enjoy narrating, or better yet acting out, their character's actions. The more detail or flair you can give in doing so, the better and familiarity with 5e helps things flow.
Why a 3 person party? I have played dnd with a GM and a single player and I have played with an adventuring party of 8+. Each has its strengths but as this will be online, larger groups tend to derail the ever-important narration. Also, I am fairly new to GMing online and will be learning as we go so a smaller party will be easier to manage.
When? Scheduling will always be the hardest part of dnd so availability is best discussed week to week. That being said, I would like to game biweekly at a minimum. With the current member's availability, that should be no issue assuming the prospect has one day/week free.
With whom you play dnd is one of the biggest factors in the quality of the experience. To that end, a brief description of the group would likely be helpful: We are three 30+ yr old nerds (he/him if that's important to you) who enjoy gaming in one form or another. Each of us has a similar sense of humor and enjoys joking around with things that may seem dark or offensive, which will definitely come up in or out of character, but I can say with full confidence that not one of us has malicious intent.
I hope this has piqued your interest. For more specific campaign information or to simply communicate that interest, you can contact me one or both of two ways.
