I am a DM looking for players (beginners welcome) to run a series of 1-shots. You will start as level 1s and conclude as level 3s. We will roll right into Rime of the Frost Maiden chapter 2.
We will meet every Thursday 11 AM PDT or 1 PM PDT, the session will be ~2.5 hours long.
Media: Discord - voice; Roll20 Video and maps; It is imperative you have a functioning mic, headphones, webcam and a good internet connection.
Here is what I am looking for in the players.
- I'm looking to play with people who want to tell a good story and enjoy the company of other like-minded individuals. Anyone who is going to be super competitive, disrespectful, or not a team player will not be welcome
- Age/sex/race/orientation/nationality/etc do not matter whatsoever to me and shouldn't matter to anyone looking to be part of this group
- The spotlight is only fun for everyone if we can all stand in it together or equally in turn; trying to make the people around you more awesome is going to make the game better for everyone
- You’re not trying to “win”…you’re all playing to tell a story together, including the DM - I am not your enemy and I want everyone to have fun
- That being said, don’t annoy your DM. The rules are the rules, but the DM’s opinion matters more than the rules.
- Murdering hobos for a party of almost entirely good-aligned PCs is not acceptable and will have consequences
- Fun characters are worth 1000 min/maxed characters…this isn’t a video game
- “No one likes a broody orphan... We all do that, first time out. If you're gonna be an orphan, make it interesting, don't make it emo or typical shit.” Real, relatable flaws are more fun than just being emo.
- Your actions are not dictated by your alignment; your alignment is dictated by your actions
- This is meant to be as fun as possible and getting in depth on upsetting issues isn’t fun - a mention is one thing, but if the conversation veers into an upsetting or triggering direction, I’m going to stop it.
If all of the above makes sense to you and you are able to follow through on them, please read further - If not, stop right here!
Please direct message me the following information so I can streamline the selection process..
It is a better gaming and more importantly, a fabulous role-playing experience. There is no substitute for fellow players'/DM expressions across the table in real life. Since that is not possible..we make do with webcam :)
In-game plot reveals and player backstory reveals are that much better!
