Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: I have a bi-weekly homebrew game going on D20 with a few sessions under the belt (text only due to one of the member's living situation). I've watched basically all of Heroes and Halfwits, completely caught up on Season 2 of Critical Role, a lot of Dungeon Dudes' videos explaining things/features, a little bit of Esper the Bard. Fully understand that your typical DnD game is not going to be like a show with a production value will have like H&H or CR. 15+ years of RPing in a post by post form which also built its own stat system and helped to shape said stat system as a staff member. I also have PDFs of Player's Handbook, Xanathar's, Volo's, Tales from the Yawning Portal, Mordenkainen, Sword Coast, Monster Manual, DM Guide, Mourland Express, and a few other random small pdfs. Read through Player's and Xanathar's primarily but poked around in the others.
In short: whole lot of theoretical knowledge of DnD, minimal practical experience with DnD specifically, lots of experience with text based roleplaying.
Location/Timezone: EST Availability: Friday evening after 9 PM for good consistency, if starting at 7 or 8 PM once a quarter I'd be late for a game due to work. Saturday I'm mostly free, my biweekly game is Saturdays at 9 PM so it would need to wrap up before then. Preferred role: Player Game style: Newbie friendly for sure, as I'll be completely new to trying to roleplay with my voice at all. Good mix of combat, roleplaying, and puzzles. Reasonably casual all things considered given that I'm fairly new, serious enough that I'm learning. I'm willing to try any class if there's a group already formed looking for one more (though I'll probably need a bit of help with Wizards and Druids in particular).
