within Faerun, knights dare the crypts of the fallen dwarf kings seeking glory and treasure. Rogues prowl the dark alleyways of teeming cities such as Neverwinter and Luskan, Clerics in the service of gods wield mace and spell, questing against the terrifying powers that threaten the land. Wizards plunder the ruins of the fallen empire, delving into secrets too dark for the light of day. Dragons, goblins, orcs, wolves, Slimes, mimics and many more unimaginable abominations lurk in dungeons, caverns, ruined cities, and the vast wild places of the world.
On the roads and rivers of the Realms travel minstrels and peddlers, merchants and guards, soldiers, sailors, and steel-hearted adventurers carrying tales of strange, glorious, faraway places. Good maps and clear trails can take even an inexperienced youth with dreams of glory far across the world. Thousands of restless would-be heroes from backcountry farmsteads and sleepy villages arrive in Neverwinter and the other great cities every year in search of wealth and renown.
Known roads may be well traveled, but they aren’t necessarily safe. Fell magic, deadly monsters, and cruel local rulers are all perils that you face when you travel in the Forgotten Realms. Even farms and freeholds within a day’s walk of a city can fall prey to monsters, and no place is safe from the sudden wrath of a dragon.
just a tiny part of this vast world, in a region called the Sword Coast. This is a region of adventure, where daring souls delve into the wreckage of ancient strongholds and explore ruins of long-lost cultures. Amid a wilderness of jagged, snow-capped peaks, alpine forests, lawlessness, and monsters, the coast holds the greatest bastions of civilization, including the coastal city of Neverwinter.
this is the setting upon where your stories will be told what will they say i wonder...
Hey i Would be interested in playing in this campaign. I would be free most if not every weekend.
I would like to actually talk to you about the kind of character i play and what races you deem appropriate for the setting. but i am thinking of Minotaur Barbarian If at all possible.
Probably some neutral good or Lawful Good depending.
I'd also like to know of the time schedule for the game if you'd be able to provide it. As in weekly, biweekly, monthly etc.
I don't have a preference on class I have a few that I've been looking to play recently, mainly warlock, cleric, and fighter gunslinger (if that archetype is available in the campaign setting) but I'm happy to fit to the pre existing party if a specific class was being looked for.
In terms of race, kind of depends on what class I play but the for the 3 classes I listed above I'd probably prefer Tiefling warlock, Tabaxi cleric and human fighter.
Alignment would be somewhere between chaotic good and true neutral depending on class/race
Currently I'm in EST but I'll be moving to the west coast in about a month. I'll still have Saturdays free all day so that shouldn't affect my time availability.
If you have any more questions for me please feel free to ask, my discord is Sylverin#4137 if it's easier to send it there.
Hello, I would play a firbolg druid/cleric very soothing guy, very chill and stuff. He could be neutral good
timezone is GMT+2
Sael’Thalior is a firbolg who u can say has lived for quite some time, roughly 240 years, ge stopped counting at some point. He lives in a hut deep inside the forest, but not to deep to be quite the trek. He has been a healer/herbalist of a little village that lives of the aforementioned forest, and usually receives its payment in the form of cattle, tools or, rarely, money.
As u can say his live thus far had been quite... slow, that was until he found the love of his live, if only she wasn’t ill, and to make it worse, an illness he didn’t know how to treat. Thus, he started his journey to find the cure for her beloved, in an attempt to win her heart.
I appreciate that you put effort into your post and I'm interested but I would like to ask some questions for further clarification, if that is okay.
Do you run a session zero? Character creation options? All source books? UA? Homebrew? Starting Level (Level Range)? Likely level cap? Any creature types that might be featured more heavily? Will one pillar of play be featured more than others? (Exploration, Combat, Social) Sandbox, railroad, somewhere in between? What is your style of DMing? How do you view your relationship with the players?
How closely do you adhere to the rules? (I know you referenced the rule of cool) How do you handle derailment? (if that is even an issue for you) How do you handle player conflicts? How you handle encounters per day (more short rests / long rests)? Do you envision there being downtime / downtime activities? Do you incorporate player goals into your campaign?
hi his sounds super fun! And I’m excited to try this with new people. Are there any specific rules/ restrictions outside of what you listed?
Class you'd like to play: monk (way of mercy) but hopefully multiclass into a Druid (Circle of spores) hybrid. I’m trying to create a Venom like dnd character
Race you'd like to play: Grung, believe me they’re pretty cool
Alignment you'd like to have: chaotic.... something lol probably neutral
Class you'd like to play: Druid, preferably the spore circle (open to other classes depending on source book options/home brew options)
Race you'd like to play: open, again depends on the options. Possibly water genasi
Alignment you'd like to have: likely true neutral to neutral evil. (If Druid of spore...not looking to cackle/spread mayhem, but necromancy things often skew evil in interpretation from the public 🤷♂️
Timezone: Central time (Chicago time zone)
msg me here if interested/for discord info if you’d rather chat there :)
