Game: D&D 5e
Group type: Online
My DMing Experience: 2 years and counting. Players of all experience levels are welcome, including absolute beginners who have never played a session, we'll ease you into it.
Timezone: Eastern Standard Time.
Schedule: 12 noon - 4pm. The playtime is not flexible, but you won't be penalized if you need to miss a week here and there for work, personal reasons, etc. In such cases I just ask for an up-to-date version of your character sheet so another player may substitute for you that week.
Roles sought: Players x2, which will put the group at 8 players total.

Game style: My campaign is a High Fantasy, Longform Epic Campaign(to character level 30) in a world of my own creation. I run a sandbox game with an emphasis on player freedom(within limits, of course). I do my best to accommodate every playstyle, but I would be lying if I didn't mention that I prefer people who are interested in roleplaying. If you put a lot of work into roleplaying/backstory, I will put a lot of work into rewarding that effort. That being said, if you mainly enjoy combat and keep roleplaying light, preferring to just be along for a ride in a sense during other characters roleplaying, thats fine too, although I still ask that you pay attention in such a scenario. I will mention that my main goal is to get the character that you join the game with to level 30, so while death is a real threat in major, important encounters, in order to keep combat interesting(also from remarkably poor decision making); you should expect to be able to play your character to completion without a massive fear of permanent character death from really difficult, hardcore, back-to-back combat encounters/random encounters. I would mention that 2 years is a decent amount of experience, but I'm not perfect and still learning as I go, so if you're a real veteran cut me a little slack here and there :P

How the game is run: We use Discord for interactions,(voice only, no facecams at this time), and Maptool for our Virtual Tabletop( https://www.rptools.net/toolbox/maptool/ ). This is a Java based program that uses a P2P connection, so you hardcore computer security peoples will probably want to just move on now. A couple of our current players use DnDbeyond as well for their characters, which is fine. We do not use Roll20. We also trust our players to not be cheaters, and allow the use of real dice, because dicebots suck.

Theme of the Game: No particular enemy type is favored at this time. The land is currently gripped in a civil war between Monarchist Loyalists and Radicals who seek to overthrow the King, combined with exploration of sidequests and personal character backstory plots. All lore I've written on the world will be accessible to you once you join our Discord.

Our Group Dynamic: We're very easy going, and we welcome everybody who can be reasonable and rational. We can oftentimes be "politically incorrect" to use the modern terminology. We won't accept hate or bigotry, including that of SJW's. This is not a political platform, it is escape-ism and entertainment. So if you're very easily offended, extremely sensitive/unable to take a joke or tolerate crass and lowbrow humor, or unbearably offensive for the sake of it, please do not apply to join our game, it will only end badly for all parties. Additionally, just don't be an a**hole in general :P

I will give more information about things in DM discussions when you apply, including more explanation of my style as a Dungeon Master, more info about the world, discussion about the character you'd like to play, etc. to help you determine if you want to join our game or not. Ending Note: I know that I am a totally unverified individual in regards to the experience of this site(literally created my profile to make this post), but that's just because I'm more of a classic player, I prefer PDF character sheets, etc. and so have personally never found much use for this site. It is easily the biggest and probably best online DnD community which is why I've chosen to make my post on here. If you like how my campaign sounds but are unsure of me, just give me a chance to show you that I know what I'm doing :)
