Characters start at lv 3. Most races and classes are acceptable. Home brew stuff will be considered. My table is very role play heavy and character focused. The story planned will be split between dungeon crawling, solving an ancient mystery and exploring a weird, diverse city of adventurers. 

This is a Forgotten Realms based home brew centered on events that happen after the Lost Mines of Pendelvar. With the Wave Echo Cave found and reclaimed everyone expected things to quiet down and go back to normal in Phandalin but then it was discovered that the magic forge was pulling its power from something older and deeper beneath the earth. Not too long after, an entrance was found to vast intersecting dungeons fueled by powerful arcane and divine forces still unknown.

The half-orc governor of the tiny settlement decided this was the chance of a life time. Messages went out to all corners of the SwordCoast calling on adventurers and investors, scholars and bards to come forth and help explore the untapped potential for wealth and adventure. Once a sleepy mining village it’s now been renamed Bozreth City after the governor himself and it has become a small metropolis focused on adventure...and a very weird one at that. The nature of its growth has infused the place with an almost carnival like aspect. Also it hosts an unparalleled diversity due to an edict created by the Governor proclaiming  that any creature living by the laws of the city and doing no harm would be allowed citizenship regardless of race, creed or place of origin. 
The city has been thriving and as close to fifty registered adventuring teams plumb the depths of the three massive and mysterious dungeons it’s sits atop its legend has grown. Not everybody is pleased however and in certain circles of power and influence disturbing prophecies and portents have surfaced that not everything may be as seem in this new wonderland. A small team has been gathered from secret agencies, orders of arcane lore, divine rectories, the halls of the nobility and all manner of strange societies for the sole purpose of finding the connection between this city and its connection to an ancient cult and even older relic thought lost to antiquity. Posing as just another dungeon team this group of connected specialists is tasked with infiltrating the city and the dungeons to find the secrets that are really kept within.

This sound like a very interesting campaign! If you're okay with someone relatively new to D&D, then I'd love to discuss it in a little more detail with you. I very much enjoy gameplay slanted towards roleplay, even though I am still getting a hang of it myself, but I also greatly appreciate opportunities to be clever in combat. I also value open communication between players and DMs; if I've overstepped my bounds, I'd like to know, but I'd also like to be able to express issues I am having as well, and am always open to constructive discussion. If that doesn't sound too needy, then I hope to hear back from you so we can get to better understanding both of our expectations! If, on the other hand, it does sound too needy, well then feel free to tell me to bug off, haha.

I Played with my friends as a teen and some in college.  circa 1985. I probably have the original DMG PG MM etc. I have a ton of old Dungeon and Dragon magazines from that time as well. I'm just trying to meet cool people who want to get lost in their imaginations. Example. My main character Melot, after he became a lord, hired assassins to get his do gooder wife out of the picture.  (In fairness he changed after they fell in love while . . .) And he tried to get his daughter off Euphoria Dragon breath weapon extract (for sale in my campaign think like black lotus) so he could marry her off to get the. . . you get the idea. Our world went places!
