I'm a 22 year old Dungeon Master looking for players to join my campaign. It will be completely free. I wrote my own homebrew campaign that's an offshoot of Asmodeus and has some cool custom ideas. I primarily use Discord to communicate, but I'm willing to use other forms as well. Sessions can be any day of the week, but I'm looking for something around 7 pm to 12-1 am. There's a little bit of real history involved as it takes place around the early 1900's. History buffs would enjoy it. It is extremely lore based towards the beginning, but starts to broaden outwards as the sessions go on.
I need one or two players. Session starts this Thursday evening at 7pm EST. I have the game completely written out. It's a completely free to roam world, but there are time tables for a lot of events.
The map is going to be on roll20. I find it easier to use and i can do way too many voices, but i will switch out of them if i don't have something to drink nearby for my throat or i forget what they are. Players will be starting at level one and all the leveling up are milestone based. I personally like the point buy system, but rolling before first session will also work as well. I'd like to get to know my players as well. I enjoy custom tailoring the sessions to them, meaning if people or attack helicopters are more into the story side of the campaign, I'll say a lot more lore and have you role a lot more, where-as if they're into fighting and straight to the point, I will skip through the details and only say the main plot points and skip through a lot of the rolling and just remind you of things from past sessions.
I'll be holding "Interviews around Wednesday afternoon and evening for people id like in the campaign. Right now, we already have a Bard, Warlock, Ranger, Paladin, and Monk. We possibly also have a barbarian, but that is up in the air.
To clarify what I mean, lore based campaign is a lot more dialog saying what's going on, what happened. It's a lot more conversation based campaign with fighting thrown in. So you can convince someone named james bucky that there name is harry Richard, or find out your great aunt has secretly been an all powerful wizard for the last several hundred years. Plot based is you stroll into town, get a list of things to do, there's less output on unimportant information, just harry Richard is bad and must die. He stole a girls cat and dog. And you deal with it whether it be fighting or talking, so it's a lot more of a hands on, fight the situation sort of approach
