About me
Hello! I'm Alan, a writer, artist, husband and GM with 5 years experience looking to expand into the DMing market. I have ran sessions on many different systems (mostly Fire Emblem and D&D 5e, but also Scion, Academagia, and many homebrew systems) for different groups, and I have been creating stories since childhood. As such, I put a lot of weight into the story I tell along my players, so my campaigns are always heavily roleplay-focused. The stories are centered around the players and their characters, not just my worlds; so there is plenty of development and character relationships going on.
About the setting
This will be a sandbox-style adventure in the world of Nexus, where many races from different universes get together in a mystical new world. You, from the human world, have been brought to act as one of the Twelve Champions, the paragon of one of the main races of Nexus. You will be their hero and savior, training under them to become a protector of the realm, with access to their race's abilities and powers.
Style of play
The style of play will be text only, as I understand that a lot of people are held back by shyness, desire for silence, inability to speak or liking their own music way too much. Not to mention that many of us feel inadequate trying to imitate the voice or accent of a character completely unlike ourselves. Or maybe you have all the spirit but a bad mic, or a bad connection. Well, this will pose no problem for us!
Theme and content
Session zero will serve as the groundwork for whatever sensitive matters you wish to leave out of the game. However, if it so happens that you forgot to mention a topic and remember it at a later date, you can always talk to me to arrange it. Yes, this includes having said topic happening at the moment. I prize everyone's comfort, and stories can be told a number of ways to the same effect without including certain topics.
If you happen to be too shy or uncomfortable to speak openly about sensitive topics, you can DM me and we will arrange it privately and quietly.
This will also be the time for you to tell me which idea you have for your waifu/husbando, and if they are a specific character, give me all possible information for me to properly include them in the game.
Day and time of session
I have not yet set a date for sessions, but I have a lot of time available. Time slots will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, either at 1PM GMT or 7PM GMT, with a duration of 3 to 4 hours. Sessions can have from 3 to 5 players.
Payment method
Normally, the per-session cost of the game is 9 USD. However, since these are my first paid games, the first 2 months will be reduced to 7 USD per session. After that, the price will raise back to $9.
Discounts? Of course! If you bring a friend, both you and your friend will pay $1 less, up to a 2$ discount for two friends. If you refer a third person, that person will have de 1$ discount, but no further. A fourth person entails the discount for all five. Summarized:
If you have a friend who wants to play but cannot exactly pay for the session, you are free to pay their share.
Payment will be done via Paypal before each session, with refunds in case you cannot make it. Partial refunds can be discussed if you could only stay for part of the session.
We will play through Roll20's platform.
