Hi, would love to join a group and get back into DnD, havent played since my college days some 15 years ago! I love to get in Char and RP as well as "dungeon crawl/fight", lots of experience Roleplaying, from DnD campaigns, through numerous online MMOs such as Ultima Online, SWG, Everquest, WoW etc.
Game: D&D 5e (familiar with rules but new to playing this ruleset) Group type: Online Experience: Relative Noob, although have played DnD throughout my life. Location/Timezone: GMT (UK) Char: Nhyx Undertow, Cleric of Orm Blunthammer Preferred play method: Happy with any medium, most used to Discord, Skype and Zoom, but will figure out whatever it takes.
Discord: Nhyx#1637
Backstory: Nhyx had somewhat squandered his life, he showed great potential, but never really applied himself. He was more content to go where the wind took him, making decisions in a chaotic, whimsical fashion, rather than thinking through the consequences of his actions.
Leading such a wasted life, Nhyx graduated towards the less honorable elements in life, and had a dubious moral code, happy to make his money in the easiest fashion possible. It was one of these get rich quick schemes that led to "The Incident". He wont discuss it with anyone, but he messed up bad. Bad enough to attract the attention of Orm Blunthammer, a God Nhyx had never heard off, in fact not many people have. Whilst Nhyx refuses to speak of the incident, or what actually happened during the Divine Intervention, he is only to happy to curse the name of Orm, who he feels has victimised Nhyx and subjected him to the most unusual and cruelest of punishments - Nhyx, who didnt really believe in any Gods, and if they did exist, he was convinced they were all senile sadists with twisted senses of humour, was made a cleric of Orm by Orm himself... Its unclear how this relationship works, Nhyx resents the God and refuses to worship him, but still is granted the resources and powers that come with being a cleric of Orm; on Orms side, he probably didnt have a lot of choice, due to a lack of followers, so is making the best of a bad situation.
Tempted to try to take advantage of these "gifts", Nhyx tries to earn coin by selling healing to the poor and rich alike, but always seems to be pushed on to horrid adventures and escapades. Perhaps if he could atone for his sins, Orm would leave him alone and let him return to his life of ease.
