Hello my name is Ray Ray and I am a DM looking for a group. I have been playing DnD for a year mainly as a DM so i'd say i know my way around the rules. I lovee a good mixture of RP and Combat and I love telling a story.!
I'm a pretty easy fun DM who loves to work with his players. I am totally open to homebrew content, as I make my own world myself, and will allow it if you run it by me first and it makes sense.
I am looking for a group of 5-6 players to start a campaign. I would like to playthrough Lost Mines of Phandelver but that is open to discussion. We would be using discord for voice chat, Roll 20 for the gameplay, and DnD beyond for characters. If all goes well I have a homebrew campaign made in the setting of Eberron. I am in San Francisco, CA and hoping the sessions will be either Sunday or Monday ideally starting at 3pm every week, but I am flexible.
I have noticed there are not alot of DM's and all of the games I have played the group was not serious. I want to make a safe space where every player is heard, is having fun, and is focused on the game. Yes this will be a pay to play game, for only $5 a session, and tips are graciously appreciated, payed through *****. A small price to pay for the amount of loose ends there are in these threads. So if you are a serious player and want to actually enjoy a game and play more than once with a group, and continue a campaign once a week please let me know these things.!

We will be having a small one on one trial run to everyone who wants to join so you can get a feel for me as a DM and I can get a feel for your playing style. If you have anymore questions please message me here or add me on discord @ heyheydisrayray#5973
Agreed with @Jim_McNormalguy that you should list this as Paid in the title.
But what do you mean by "serious" ?
I am a paid DM. I run 6 games a week, 4 of which are paid to the shop I run at and I am given a part of that. The other two games I run are just me and my friends or my wife's friends, and there is no pay involved.
None of us are "serious" we all make in, and out of game jokes and references. It makes the game better because it's lighthearted and fun bonding.
So, if you're telling us we have to pay to play in your game and no one can make a joke, then that's a no-go from me.
Serious meaning you want to play and have fun, you are willing and wanting to show up to the game every week, and you actually care about the progression of the storyline and your companions. Of course we can joke and have fun and bond, but we can only do that if everyone is serious enough to show up. I've played alot of games where after the first game noone shows up or responds or even DMs just outright ghost us.! Well the very small payment of $5 per session is just to hold everyone accountable, even myself, that they will show up because they have invested in the gamee. Which honestly is a very low price and the money goes back into the game via maps bought on Roll 20 and a subscription to better the experience. Whatever I make from these games will go right back in to a better playing experience. So that is my definition of serious. If someone didnt allow joking trust me i'd be the first to leave the campaign, with notice of course.
This sounds fantastic! I've sent you a friend request on Discord so that we can chat.

What is your playing style: I'm comfortable playing through Roll20. I take this game seriously, especially because I work hard on the characters I create. I like an equal balance of battle and roleplaying.
